the offensive line is a disaster, Cole Smith can’t pass block, and Will Rogers is scared to death of a pass rush. bad combination. Arnett fired all of Leachs staff and brought in Will Friend who has the offensive line lost and confused.

Barbay is in so far over his head he has no idea what he is doing as OC.

I’m not concerned about State grinding down critics every week.

The sad fact is, this team is not going to win a sec game this year.

Not because of the players, Leach went 9-4 with them, but because of bad hires and a horrid staff. it’s comical it’s so bad.

Arnett is going to get fired in the next 12-24 months. maybe they actually have a national coaching search but I doubt it. The good old boys that run that program are stuck in the 70s.

Will threw the ball 8 times total in the first half.

Look at the film. First half he had a short field.

Second half he either didn’t have the time to even let the ball go or he checked down mid and long ball open receivers.

The best throw he made all game was the TD in the corner end zone which was great but he had two receivers open on that play and he waited too long which almost allowed the defense to catch up and make a play.

His stats look good on paper for the game but how productive of a passing game do we have when your QB is afraid to throw it more than 10 yards? I like Rogers and everything he does but it’s obvious he isn’t comfortable with the full package yet.

Full package of what ? there is no intelligent scheme. how is that offense going to work against sec defenses who can take away the run and rush the qb ?

Rogers is a non factor but no qbs could operate with this coaching staff and scheme

0-8 in the sec for MSU.

Highly unlikely. Have you watched the rest of the SEC play?

Auburn, Kentucky, Aggie, Arkansas, South Carolina all look pretty bad.

Arizona had a pretty good QB and 2nd half made changes to exploit our defense with short passes and QB scrambles and we couldn’t tackle for shite. Ironically it looked like Leachs offense where they cleared out the secondary and dinked and dunked for 5-10 yards down the field.

Offensively we were gashing them first half and I think our coaches got arrogant thinking we could stay vanilla and win easily without showing LSU too much. Arizona started slowing down the run game and we had some bad 3rd down playcalls as well. We didn’t adjust and it almost cost us. Hopefully a learning experience for the staff, our playcalling week 1 was balanced im not sure why we went more heavy run this week. I really think they saw how easily we ran it first half and just stuck to it thinking we could overpower them for 4 quarters. Will has zero pocket awareness, i want to see more Wright in 3rd and short situations. He gives you the mobility to scramble for first downs when the protection falls apart

I saw good and bad things.

Good: special teams even with one missed FG.
Strong run game
Secondary played well for a new group of players.
Defense created turnovers
We committed few penalties
Solid rushing defense

Bad:
Poor pass rush
Pass blocking is meh
Poor tackling in space
Questionable playcalling in 3rd and short situations
Inability to put the game away when we had the opportunity and let them hang around

Arnett fired Leachs entire staff to bring this in ?

Depends. I can see the HC directing the conservative play calling based on the way AZ was turning the ball over and his history of being on the defensive side of the ball. If that’s the case it’s a young guy learning and willing to admit it. If it’s a case of him covering for a crappy OC hire then that’s much more of a concern.

Delusional.

No State is not beating auburn or Kentucky on the road

Ole miss will embarrass this jr high coaching staff.

You won’t beat Kentucky, , they are better than pac 12 bottom feeder Arizona.

Delusional , let’s talk after LSU

Looking at Miss State’s schedule, I would think they have at least a decent shot against Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky, and South Carolina. They’re not going 0-8. I wouldn’t count them out against LSU or A&M either.

We weren't going to beat LSU or Alabama at any point

Based on what I have seen of LSU's D so far, don't be so sure of that.
