Headed up to Clemson Friday morning, hoping some of the USC or UGA people can give me some tips on places to park/tailgate, eat ect.

Also, playing golf Friday, any recommendations?

I'm not a golfer, but there are lots of good courses up that way.
As far as tailgating, it's awesome. They tailgate about like SEC schools, so arrive as early as possible and park as close to the stadium as possible. There are pay lots along campus, so look for those.

Go fishing in the lake they have up there that separates your schools.

The only time I went was in 03 so it might've changed. We got there at daylight on Saturday and just starting driving around out from the stadium. Eventually we found this massive big field (similar to like an intramural field or something) that just lined cars all up in it. We parked there and it was fine, lots of visiting fans in there. I remember we walked uphill to get to the stadium from there but it wasn't too far.

Have drinks at TDs, the food's so-so but its full of hot chicks in sun dresses all day long.

Thanks. I didn't run across that in my googling of clemson and tailgating.

Great idea, have any clue on what the SC statutes on skippering a boat drunk are?

Also an interesting thing about Clemson, if they still do it:
You can leave at halftime and come back in. In 2008 I went and left at halftime, refilled my drunk meter, and came back in just in time for the 3rd quarter to start.
ETA: That is if you are actually going to the game. I jumped right into this thread before reading, so my apologies.

Don't. Same rules that apply to driving (loosely) apply to boating, especially in/near a college town.
You'll hear a lot of Clemsuxx fans telling you to go to the Esso Club. Don't do that, either. Tiger Town Tavern is way better.

That's just dangerous...

It's the only place I know of that does it. It's has its ups and downs. You think Clemsuxx fans are obnoxious? Try DRUNK Clemsuxx fans

West Virginia used to do it, don't know if they still do

The Walker Course in Clemson is pretty nice actually. Well maintained as they have a PGA program to help look after it. Other than that I would look in the Greenville area. Furman University Club is nice as is The Preserve at Verdae.
ETA: If you plan on playing Walker Course I'd call today and reserve a tee time. Fills up pretty quickly on game weekends.

And are they selling beer at the stadium now? Good Lord, the WVU/LSU game should be a classic

Staying in Anderson, know any of the courses over there?
