Gus ain't on anybody's hot seat. He's oblivious to the outside world.

His buyout is 75% of the remaining contract, with 50% due in 30 days. They would owe him $16 million if he is fired after 2021. Not that Auburn couldn't afford that, but they aren't paying that plus a new coach's salary. He's there for a while.

I wouldn't put it past Auburn bagmen to set up Gus with a scandal in order to fire him with cause.

Hell, I live 2 hours from Auburn. I'll go put some cocaine in his car, then call the police for a much smaller fee than his buyout. I'm sure there's an Auburn fan with the same idea now though.
