Why would they go running towards the gunfire? Find cover and pop three caps in the bastard.

no worries, it's your opinion.

It's 18 here for a shotgun (I believe) but you have to be 21 for a CC and a handgun.

... You've got a room full of people, we'll say 30, how many would you think would go running towards the gunfire? If you say more than 5 you're kidding yourself.

Assuming all 30 are armed and trained then I bet a good percentage would hunker down behind some cover and take shots whenever they can.

Chances are there will probably be less than 5 people armed in a group of 30, but I would imagine most of those would do the same. I'm not expecting them to go chasing after the dude, but if he comes into a classroom then they could at least hold him off, buy some time, and possibly take him down.

I'd wager the "trigger happy ROTC idiots" probably have a more ethical foundation than your commie pansy arse. I have no idea where our country went wrong and started puking out dullards like you, but the sad fact is you're here.

I'm not much for the sit and wait approach. I'm pretty capable on the move(because I've been trained to shoot on the move).

I'm not trying to argue with you btw.... I know you know what you're talking about. I just disagree.

It's CNB that's acting like a 5 yr old.

The only places I don't carry mine is in the bank (obvious reasons here) and in bars (more obvious reasons).

I don't know what training CNB has, so I've got no comment there. As for me, I'm not as trained as a LEO or someone in the military, but I'm probably more trained than you're average female citizen.

I take the fifth on the College campus part

ETA: I know you're not arguing with me hun That's a great thing about our Nation...we're allowed to have different opinions

What happens when someone accidentally "caps" an innocent person trying to run away?

Everyone here's a video game hero. There are no redos IRL when you smoke an innocent.

Yes you're right. Everyone fails terribly at guns, unless they are shooting up a school. Everyone would run out and try and stop the bad guy, and everyone else (somehow) hides for cover and just cowers.

5 year olds make more sense and have a more consistent argument than you.

I understand now. Rebelgator is against carrying on campus because he understands that in that situation he would go all crazy vigilante and he assumes others would act as he does.

Neither am I, but I do have the pleasure of shooting with Swat and the Search Warrant teams when I'm home. I've always been taught its harder to hit a moving target.

Truth. That's why I like the shooting range I go to...has the option for that.

Anyhoo, back on topic: Have they caught this SOB yet?

Shooting cats helps with learning to shoot moving targets fwiw. Clears the area of cats too. No offense , Cat.

In light of everything that has been happening on college campuses lately, I am leaning towards allowing students to take a class and carry a damn gun. With all of the rapes, robberies, and shootings, students have become sitting ducks for criminals.

People that commit violent crimes usually don't do it with weapons that are registered in their name.

That's a good idea.
Passing a course after you've obtained your CC would be a great process to allow mature students, to carry on campus.

I wonder if that's being streamed online?
