Based on this thread and your other ramblings, it's weird that you could support an institution that has a vax mandate for students and employees

If you think people are against vax mandates because they are afraid of needles, you are EXTREMELY wrong and probably the reason we are in this mess.

How about those people who have already had China virus and have the antibodies? Why should those people take the vaccine.

What happened to "My Body, My Choice?".... The fear you have of a someone giving you or your transplanted love ones the virus should not take precedence over another's fear of developing myocarditis or an autoimmune disease from the vaccine. It should be a personal choice not some mandate from the government.
Do not get me wrong, I do believe in the long run that our best chance at besting this virus from mutating continuously is to vaccinate, BUT that vaccination would have to occur almost simultaneously across the US, much the way the smallpox-Un project was conducted in the early 70's, and that is simply not going to happen.
So until then, stop calling others selfish who do not want the vaccine, or to bow to government oppression, while at the same time allowing those on the other side to shout for "hands off" their bodies. You can't have it both ways.

I'm going to go with the mad pirate with a law degree from Pepperdine over whatever University toadie is leading the legal team at State.

He'll either stay or part with full buyout and off to his next adventure

...all assuming he is not already fully vaccinated and just being coy because he can and has a right to his own medical privacy

For a newcomer like me, this thread is helping to separate the wheat from the chaff with regards to tRant posters.

Congrats to all the useful idiots breathlessly parroting the vaccines virtues. Pfizer’s CEO, the 80-something Pfizer DC lobbyists and countless others getting rich off this covid hysteria applaud your efforts. Please stay tuned to the TV man’s fear porn for your future outrage requirements.

Y'all fricking morons have been required to be vaccinated your whole ignorant lives. It's just that before, there weren't a bunch of people gaining clicks and political power by getting you all worked up about it.

So,
Fire the guy who had Covid and is naturally immune and needs no shots
Keep the guy who had the shots and has since lost his immunity

Brilliant

The vax literally does nothing. What do you mean to protect you? In fact the vax created a vastly higher viral load in the vaxxed, which increases spread. It is also directly causing the variants.

Not only is it useless at its job but it’s actively making it worse. Well I say it’s job because I don’t think it exists to prevent anything, I think it is doing exactly what it was designed to do.

Beside the point, but none of those other vaccines are experimental. The polio vaccine for example actually works. My point is the idiots buying & parroting the mantra that everyone must get the vaccine to protect the vulnerable. A false premise from the start and the vulnerable must protect themselves (common fricking sense)

Ask yourself why we are mandating an experimental vaccine for a virus with a very, very high survival rate.

I did not grow up in an antivaccination culture, which until recently was the liberal stance, nor did most any of you who didn't grow up on the left coast.

We all received any variety of shots just to go to Kindergarten. Plus, a lifetime in the Army with annual, near pointless flu shots and any variety of other shots from anthrax to small pox thrust upon us with no choice has shaped my view on all vaccinations to a point of relative personal indifference

That said, to your point, after ~90 days those who previously had CV19 are susceptible to it again. And, from my personal experience, as anecdotal as that is, dealing with 1000+ cases over a 2 yr span in a relatively young and healthy population, the second time of catching the virus typically hit harder... albeit still relatively minimal symptoms overall.

Vaccines are not necessarily about prevention, but to reduce the effects of the disease. The vaccine, in all of its controversy, seems to do that well enough. And, like many other vaccines, boosters are often required.

All that said, I'm not advocating for or against it. It should be a choice and not a mandate. But, it is equally within our cultural fiber to enable institutions to make certain vaccines a requirement if they choose. So, I don't necessarily have a problem with that either.

The problem is the issue has become overly polemic from all sides and deep within the recesses of the political divide from which there seems no positive way forward. Therefore, it is a pointless argument for or against it with the vast majority of the country.

F every one of you who has turned this into a political thing and doesn't seem to understand that people who have had transplants or have autoimmune diseases or are otherwise on immunosuppressant medication NEED everyone to be vaccinated and not spreading the disease. We ARE NOT PROTECTED by getting vaccinated ourselves, because we cannot keep the immune protection.

There it is. The dumbest thing I'll read today.
