What are some moments that you can recall where an announcer has displayed prescience?

Starting at about the 16:40 markof the Alabama vs Arkansas 2012 game.

Gary talks about a punt situation.

Gary Danielson does this in every game and usually several times. Dude does his homework and knows his shite.

Anytime the announcer says "he hasn't missed a FG all year", I know what's going to happen. Does that count?

I particularly like the reverse jinx. "Baseball player hasn't allowed a walk in 24 games" Count it, he walks the next batter.

You're thinking of Verne, not Gary.

No one, I repeat, no one is as bad as "Orlando McKane" Verne. Gary could have a stroke on air and he still would do names better.

Gary is by far one of the better announcers when it comes to knowledge of the sport. He really pays attention to formations and tendencies and does a great job calling things.

Verne can die in a fire for all I care.

It's amazing that they put Verne on the SEC broadcast. He's much better suited for figure skating.

I'd rather listen to David Faherty, not knowing a thing about football.

I like him at the Masters, but I think that may be due to him giving it a familiar feeling...if you get what I'm saying.

Danielson is an idiot who spends his time telling people obvious shite. CBS really needs a breath of fresh air on their broadcast team.

What a ridiculous fricking thing to say...

Cant you just say "he sucks at his job" or something to that effect? Good grief man that comment was just uncalled for... I really dont get offended easily but that was just a low comment to make.

"216 pass attempts without an interception. That's just remarkable."

"My what a hit by Marquis Maze!"

"Im sorry that was Mark Barron who made the tackle."

Players who wear the same number freak out Verne.

Gary did it in the Ark game in 09 with Julio

And pointed out Julio's match up with a Safety before his big play against LSU.
