So you DON'T rely on the meaningless simplistic 'passing yards against' rankings... but at the same time you DO rely on them?
Lets me see if I can dumb my statement down to your level.
I believe that statistics like passing yards allowed can be skewed a bit but no way in hell LSU, Alabama, or Florida should be last in the country or anywhere close.
Anyway, thats getting away from my original question and you still haven't proven your opinion to be true.
I'll ask again, why are LSU, Florida, and Alabama struggling with spread offenses more than everyone else despite having more talent than everyone else?

Why did you leave off Georgia?
They were touted as having the best defense EVER until Bama's Spread humiliated them. Sorta like Venable's defense last season - until LSU shredded it.
And your question is silly. It is based on an unproven premise. i.e., that the SEC teams are struggling more than anyone else.

Because they are much more respectable in that category despite facing what could be an all time great offense in Alabama.

I've never heard anyone refer to either of those as "the best defense ever."

Well they're for damn sure giving up more passing yards than pretty much anyone else.
Whats your definition of "struggling?"

What's your imagined point?
That Spread/RPO offenses are easy to defend?

My point is that both points are true.
Spread offenses are harder to defend.
Also, LSU, Florida, and Alabama all suck on defense this season.

Sounds kinda vague...
So, who are the really good power-5 pass defenses, in your opinion? Can you name a few?

Haven't watched enough football but I do know that Alabama, LSU, and Florida are not good.
Kentucky and Arkansas seem to have held up pretty decently.
Mississippi State seems to be pretty good.

That's why I cant wait to have a true duel threat at QB
I love Emory Jones but I believe Anthony Richardson with his size and 4.6 speed will be a true game changer by the time he's ready

Wait how has Florida's offense struggled this year? You obviously haven't been watching
We've barely punted at all
Guessing this is sarcasm

Talking about defense, slick.

Oh yep no argument there
Think that would change a good bit with spring practice and all that tho
Maybe not

It may. But, everyone is dealing with the same timetable. There's no reason that Florida, LSU and Bama should be struggling this bad on defense. I get that offenses are improving and that the rules are set up for more points, but this is ridiculous.
LSU's defense wasn't even all that good last year and damn completely shut down two damn good offenses in the playoffs.

By the old standards, maybe. But I'd say Aranda may have had things figured out better than we thought.
