I guess we're just the Texas of the SEC. Guess you had better get used to the favoritism, Aggie. Because some things just never change.
If this is indeed favoritism I hope it continues because we have been very fortunate.

It took about 5 years of each SEC school using their off week before they played Alabama before a rule was made to prevent such inequitable scheduling.
Give it time.
Give it time.

But, I thought every game in tSEC was brutal? Who cares which of those teams Bama plays when everyone is the best team in the nation.

The gumps are bitches, scared to play the top teams in the East. Saban even crys about offenses running plays to fast.

Although I'm sure things will level out pretty soon there is no denying that this has been unfair to teams like LSU. I understand the bitching.

Has your arse healed from the 2006 and 2007 SEC rapings?

Like what was stated before. Those seasons bama/UT and aub/UGA weren't scheduled as a conference game they could play each other as an OOC game. Then we would see how committed those four schools are to that game.

Confused by this thread - do LSU fans want to be the best team, or just the one that gets the most benefits?

no need to be confused. just realize that LSU fans like to bitch about EVERYTHING.
Play Florida every year? Bitch!
No holding calls against the opposition? Bitch!
Play the #2 BCS team for title? Bitch!
Day game scheduled for Tiger Stadium? Bitch!
Pass on first down? Bitch!
Run on third down? Bitch!
Les Miles? Bitch!

I think they majically want all of the SEC west's cross divisional opponents to be equally good every year. Either that or LSU's east opponents weaker than the rest.

We don't want anyone to get any "benefits".

Alabama is not afraid to play strong up and coming teams like Kentucky and Tennessee. With new coaches, these are definitely two programs on the rise.

Sorry to say, and you may feel differently, but UFs raping of our buttholes was in a completely different league than LSUs game of 'Just the Tip'
I'm over the UF loss though now, but it took a few years

You do need to realize that Alabama was not done any favors at the time this was started. TN was no cupcake back then but it has worked out in their favor lately.
Lately?
Florida with Ron Zook at the helm came into Tiger Stadium in '03 with the almighty as LSU's coach during a championship season and beat LSU down 19-7.
Tennessee had Peyton fricking Manning for four years and how many times did they beat Florida? Take a guess.
I don't care how you slice it, Tennessee and Florida are never going to be considered on equal ground. Florida has the better resources and recruiting base. Tennessee lives and dies out of state, and financially are sucking hind tit.
But, honestly, this would be a minor argument compared to what was done last year and this upcoming year. This topic is actually one of the better ones when determining quality posters from teams outside of Baton Rouge, and as usual, I'm on page 3, and you're the first one that comes close.

FINALLY.....thanks for just a small grain of sanity.
Btw. I also was all for changing the SEC rule regarding open dates...did it REALLY take 5 years to change that ???????? I thought it was more like ONE year !

About 5 years?
It was one, exactly.
Think about it. Bama wasn't even good enough for 5 years prior to the rule's implementation.
Why would any SEC team outside of Auburn even consider wasting their bye week before Bama?

This can't be true, a bama fan that will admit there is an uneven playing field when it comes to the schedule.. Thanks for taking off the crimson glasses on this one..

Alabama used to have an extra SEC game during the Bryant years. It was Kentucky . I am sure this was just a fricking accident too.
