Whatever, Roger. If any of you other teams were in our shoes, would you say nothing about it?

Don't say yes. You know that would be a lie.

Dude, all LSU had to do is beat Alabama this past year AT HOME. And you would likely be in the national title game. But, you choked on a big one in the last minute.

The SEC league office didn't have control back then like they do now. Member schools scheduled whomever they wanted in conference.

Bare was the man. SEC office didn't frick with him, he had more power.

More than a few occassions the bare won league titles because of one more win than #2 eventhough they both had one loss. A 6-1 record is better than 5-1.

Hey Roger, tell us about those Aggie teams in the 90s. You know the ones that were on probation 3x and came within a hair of getting the death penalty.

Show us those tough Aggie schedules of he past.Show us your bowl record.

The gumps are bitches, scared to play the top teams in the East. Saban even crys about offenses running plays to fast.

Alabama has a 3-0 record against Florida in their last 3 meetings outscoring them 101-29 in those games. We certainly aren't terrified of Florida the way you guys are. Alabama is also 7-2 in their last 3 games against Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. We take care of our business against the top SEC East teams instead of whining about playing them like LSU does.

What the hell does that have to do with fairness of schedule?

We'll use your business as an example.

Let's say LSU has to pick up the garbage at 8 commercial properties during peak season, but Alabama gets 8 private residences in the North during the winter season, when the snowbirds are in Florida.

Does that help?

For a random, fun example, let’s compare the cases of LSU and Alabama, which as often as not seem to determine the SEC West winner.

If the author of this "article" wants to spread conspiracy theories, that's fine. But at least tell the truth. There was nothing "random" about choosing Alabama - the defending champs - and LSU - the source of the conspiracy theories and the home of the whiniest college fan base in the country.

Well, let's look at what an objective source had to say on the subject.

Athlon Sports:

LINK

* Alabama’s bye weeks come before arguably its biggest games of 2013. The Crimson Tide has an off date on Sept. 7, one week before traveling to Texas A&M. And Alabama’s second bye is on Nov. 2, a week before playing LSU on Nov. 9.

* In a bit of odd scheduling, Alabama plays four games in October and each team has a new coach for 2013: Georgia State (Trent Miles), Kentucky (Mark Stoops), Arkansas (Bret Bielema) and Tennessee (Butch Jones).

* Alabama faces one of the easiest crossover schedules in the West Division. The Crimson Tide misses on playing Georgia, South Carolina and Florida during the regular season and will play at Kentucky and host Tennessee – arguably the bottom two teams in the SEC East.

* LSU drew one of the toughest crossover schedules in the SEC for 2013. The Tigers have to play at Georgia on Sept. 28 and host Florida on Oct. 12. And there’s also a brutal stretch in November, which features Alabama (followed with a bye week), then Texas A&M and Arkansas.

Stupid Argument by LSU fans.....

Tennessee has been awful the last 5 years but I can assure you Tennessee will bounce back and be a legit contender in the SEC.

Since the expansion apparently that's when football started Tennessee/Gump game has been one sided for both teams. It seems as if when one is down the other up. I'm sure in the 90's and early 2000's UF fans were not bitching when we were beating a down Gump Squad. Point is stop BITCHING...

That's the battle cry of many a great civilizations, aye?

The point is FIX IT. Make it right.

When you have the best conference that has won the last 7 championships, you do your damndest to make sure that conference does its part in determining its champion by the most equal method possible.

There are over 120 teams vying for 1 championship, and they play only 12 games. It's an impossible task. All you have to do is manage 14 teams, and you royally frick it up.

Another interesting note about LSU and Bama's SEC schedules next year:

Both have byes prior to A&M and against each other, but the SEC would not grant LSU's bye prior to the Bama game. LSU had to coordinate that with Ole Miss outside of the conference.

You can't assure shite. Tennessee will NEVER be equal to Florida in athletics. PERIOD.

Not surprisingly, those who are not screwed by the unfairness, and especially those who benefit from it, can't wait to smugly tell us to "stop whining about it".

It's not happening in the next 1-2 years though. Only thing that matters and will put an end to the debate altogether. You had a chance on NSD to make a splash and came up short. I'm hoping you get it together(still hate you with a passion) just to give the East a tougher road to the SEC championship.

Scooter Hobbs is the best writer covering LSU athletics. It may be arguable whether or not he's the most knowledgeable in personnel and scheme, but not when it comes to the written word.
