Am I the only one that thinks the LSU/OM game will be a blowout? LSU -21

I just don't see what Ole Miss is hyped about this season unless they have been watching last year's game. This game will be over by halftime, and the stands will be empty by the 4th quarter.

I completely agree with you. Someone on the Rant posted this about the Ole Miss defense so far this year:

quote:

Total Defense- worst in SEC
Passing Defense- 2nd worst in SEC
Rushing Defense- 2nd worst in SEC
Scoring Defense- 3rd worst in SEC
Missed Tackle Rate- worst in SEC
Team Passing Efficiency Defense- worst in SEC

If this is true, and I haven’t fact checked it, Ole Miss will be lucky to keep this inside of three touchdowns.

If the game were in Baton Rouge the stands would be empty by the half.

It is true but I’d be shocked if we won by 10+ much less 21

If that’s true and their competition has been Louisville and Charlotte, this game will not be close.

I could see it. But, I think it is LSU's defensive line and whether they can over power OMs offensive and get to Chambliss. He is most dangerous when the play breaks down and his legs take over. Contain Chambliss then it could be ugly. Easier said than done, though. You learn things after 12 years of college (pun intended).

I keep hearing this, but at least LSU’s stats are dominant.

With who Ole Miss has played, their defensive stats should not be that awful.

Ole Miss has the best player on the field. Maybe the best player in all of college football. I do not believe it will be a blowout favoring LSU.

He's not even the best quarterback in the State.

And?

What do you honestly expect Louisville is going to accomplish this year?

Someone on there posted the stat of the matchup.

Louisville and Charlotte combined to score on 9 of 10 second half possessions. That's "worst defense in the SEC" numbers and I should know, I've been a State fan and witnessed the last two years.

21-17 LSU at halftime
52-27 final.

We could truly debate that.

He will be the best player on the field when LSU plays Ole Miss though

Ole Miss 2026 is very similar to LSU 2023. We lost three games. Two of those games were not close.

I don’t think LSU will win by 21

But I do think the Tigers will win by 14-17 with the game never really in doubt after the first few possessions.
