When UT ran on us, your homers called our line weak. They hang with you through most of the game, in your house and you chose to hide behind stats.
We had UT put away by the half on the road. And we were flat that day too.
But again, any comparison where LSU looks good can't be true.

I think we can agree that the passing game will be the most important in this game. This is jarret lees fourth time to play a saban defense. Oregon is better than Arkansas. They could barely beat ole miss . You aren't seriously counting that as a quality win? Mccarron has never seen this kind of speed not even at practice. McElroy sure saw it last year . Good luck!!
Eta: we don't have to rely on a defense to win. LSU has an offense this year!

Bama has the same defense we faced last year with a watered down version of the offense. On offense Bama lost Jones and Ingram, and for that defense our quaterback owned your defens on a reverse. The way i see it we will own Bama and will make them quit at there own house.

You are very defensive. I am discussing things rationally and providing some analysis. You are talking other posters (irrelevant and who cares) and using hypebole (e.g., "But again, any comparison where LSU looks good can't be true" - wah).
Look someone said UT moved the ball on Alabama. That's really a stretch, seriously, and I showed that. Alabama's offense was the reason the game was close for a half. It certainly wasn't the defense. That was the point I was making. I'm not taking anything away from LSU. I have been just as impressed with them as I have been with Alabama. Just relax and enjoy the next two weeks, no need to get defensive.

Cool, sounds like an easy win for LSU.

LSU O vs Bama D: Wash.... LSU can sustain drives and score enough to win this game
LSU D vs Bama O: TR won't be enough, we will cause multiple mistakes out of your QB.
LSU STs vs Bama STs: Haha-hahaha a-hole, a-hole!

Cool story? Has nothing to do with this year. Example: Mike Dyer ran for 100 yards on LSU last year.

LSU has something bama doesn't have or understand.. . SWAG

Your right. Your offense is worse. You have a good oline and TR. Im pretty sure Oregon has more weapons but that's just me.

Hey Bama boy, tell you what we will let you get out to a 21 point lead just to come back and win. Just like Auburn did last year.

IMO the keys to a Bama win are twofold. One..take away Rueben Randle. I think we can slow your run down enough not to get beat by it but Randle is your gamebreaker we can't let him beat us. Two..you will load the box to stop the run and our receivers and TE's must take advantage. This will be by far the best group of DB's they've faced short of practice I think our QB is good enough to get them the ball and that will loosen up things for TR if they can.
I believe I heard the best analysis last night on the LSU call in show with Hannegrif and Risher. Everything pretty well evens out on the field and the QB's will probably win or lose this game. The play of Lee/JJ vs McCarron is what it will come down to. As far as odds... probably Bama by 2-3 for home field.
What LSU fans want to hear is that Lee/JJ being seniors have an edge over McCarron who we hope will fold under pressure. FWIW

I have been pleased with McCarron he will be better than what you have faced recently.
McCarron is nothing special. He's a poor imitation of Tyler Bray. He's got the tats and the swagger, but no talent to back it up.
The QB position is one of two where I think that LSU has a distinct advantage.
The other is at punter. Wing is a major weapon.

I think LSU will manage to contain TR (not stop him, just limit him more effectively than the defenses 'Bama has faced so far). I think the 'Bama defense will limit the LSU running game also, and that neither will be the difference.
I think the LSU passing game is probably marginally more effective (and thus its carryover impact on our running game may be a bit greater), but again, I don't think the difference will be what matters.
I suspect that a combination of field position and mistakes (which I expect is more likely to be turnovers rather than excessive or ill-timed penalties, the Crimson Referee Effect notwithstanding ) will be the key elements. Based on performance to date, this tilts toward LSU. Will it be enough to outweigh the home field advantage? Not sure--though LSU has played significant games on the road this year. Very close, not more than a field goal.

Randle is the key. He has become one of the best WRs in the league and is the one LSU WR that I think can burn Alabama's DBs
if this is true lsu is screwed. bama can take RR away with the right db assignments. however, it is not true; he is NOT the only LSU WR that can burn your db's. you are going to have to decide if you can man him or not. if you shut him down with more than one guy, we have others that can burn you. in recent years we have not been able to hit that #2 or #3 guy, but we can this year.

The LSU secondary is no better than what we see in practice.

I think LSU has an edge because Bama will be surprised to see that LSU will be running plays that no one has seen in a sequense no one has seen. Bama is going to run the same plays that is what they do and is all they can do.

Serious question, do you think you have a better passing game than Arkansas?
Yes, I do. LSU doesn't throw INT's. Only one this year. Also I believe LSU has the highest yards/ passing play in the SEC

I think LSU can win this game without a doubt but there is one edge that Bama has and that is seniority. They have players with more time in the league. I have faith that LSU's young guns fear no evil and will perform at their highest.
The advantage that nobody has discussed that I believe is key is we have THE HAT. Nobody beats THE HAT but THE HAT... How many times at the craziest times has he pulled out something from the trick bag... Nicky is too tightly wound to think of things like Les.

A little worried about facing a team that has the talent and scheme to properly utilize tight ends. I was a bit alarmed at the number of times Lutz was get open in the secondary or the flats yesterday, and had it not been for the pressure and inexperience of Auburn's QBs, I believe he could've done much more damage.
Is LSU's speedy secondary strong enough to deal with the tight end's without sacrificing a safety? Will the LSU linebackers (particularly Hatcher) be able to cover downfield if McCarron finds time? We'll know soon enough.
