I trust the ALFA playoff predictor. It gives Ole Miss a 69% chance of making the playoffs if it wins out and some other stuff happens.

I would assume TCU's problem is their schedule and constant comebacks. The math doesn't like them.
ETA: Also, use the calculator for TCU. If they win out they have a 90 percent chance.

It also says if LSU wins out, LSU’s chances of making the playoff are 55%.
And if UGA wins out, but loses the SEC Championship game their chances to make the playoff are 78%.
So if LSU beats UGA in the SEC championship game LSU, UGA & Tennessee all have a greater than 50% chance to make the CFP. In other words, the allstate playoff predictor is stupid.

They didn't run the calculator. I ran it for TCU and if they manage to win out, they have a 90 percent chance but yeah I don't think anyone thinks TCU will go undefeated. They could surprise everyone though.

It's not stupid. LSU is a 2 loss team and the committee has picked against conference champs before. tOSU won a championship because the committee picked them instead of their conference champ.
