Kirby Smart (9-3) .750 (8-2 vs. top ten teams)
Bobby Dodd (8-3) .722. (3-1)
Dan Mullen (7-3) .700. (1-1)
Nick Saban (19-9) .679. (16-7)
Les Miles (8-4) .667 (2-1)
Mark Richt (9-5) .643 (1-0)
Johnny Majors (7-4) .636 (2-1)
Bear Bryant (15-11-2) .571 (9-7)
John Vaught (10-8) .556 (4-5)
Steve Spurrier (11-9) .550 (3-4)
Charles McClendon (7-6) .538 (3-2)
Phil Fulmer (8-7) .533 (2-2)
Vince Dooley (8-10-2) .450 (3-4)
Shug Jordan (5-7) .417 (0-2)
I put in the top ten teams faced for some context of how many difficult opponents they faced.
Just missing the cut at nine games were Pat Dye (.722), Tommy Tubs (.667) and Houston Nutt (.444)
Some other notable bowl records:
Bob Neyland (2-5)
Gus Malzahn (2-5)
Gene Stallings (5-1)
Urban Meyer (5-1)
Ed O. (4-1)
Wally Butts (5-2-1)
Doug Dickey (2-7)
A minimum bowl games played must be applied.
If we took it down to 3 minimum, here's the top of the list:
Jim Donnan 4-0
Gene Chizik 3-0 (Did win it all in one of those)
Jimbo Fisher 3-0 (Guess opt outs don't count against you)
Brian Kelly 3-0 (Suck it Notre Dame)
Butch Jones 3-0 (Champs of Life can't be defeated)
Sam Pittman 3-0 (Somebody buy that man a ko beer)
Ray Perkins 3-0 (Better than the Bear and Nick combined)
Gerry DInardo 3-0 (Now Kelly's perfection seems less impressive)
Bobby Dodd (8-3) .722. (3-1)
Dan Mullen (7-3) .700. (1-1)

Nick Saban won as many games against top 10 teams, 16, as any of the other coaches even coached against. Bryant coached against 16. The next most was Kirby with 10 currently. None of the others were in double digits.
I think that stat alone should put to rest who the GOAT is.

He only coached in 11 bowl games at LSU. He was fired mid-season in 2016, so he was actually 7-4 in bowl games, not 8-4.

If Michigan hadn't cheated in 2023, Saban would have an even better record. Plus Alabama would have easily beat Washington in the national championship game.

Kirby plus Richt plus Vince
28-18-2 = 63%
Saban plus Bear
34-20-2 = 62.5%
Pretty nice run under those 5 coaches.

Please excuse my math from above.
Kirby plus Richt plus Vince
26-18-2 = 59%
Saban plus Bear
34-20-2 = 62,5%
Either way, a nice run under those coaches.

For schools with chronic vaginosis its basketball season. For some schools, like UGA, its NEVER offseason where football is concerned.
