I feel bad for Gage Miller. There is no way anyone but Charlie Condon could be first team at third base. But damn, to put up these stats and not be a first team all-conference selection is crazy.

Gage Miller

Avg: .383
HR: 18
RBI: 55
R: 69

Gage Miller, Tommy Tanks, and Gavin Grahovac all missed out at 3B. Stacked position.

I am not sure he plays the brand of baseball they want to.

Collins was 1st team here but didn’t even make 2nd team on the coaches awards

Best OBP in the country
3rd best OPS in SEC play
7th in HR in SEC play

Can’t even make 2nd team. Feels bad

Added the coaches.

How on earth is Prager not first-team SP?

8-1
2.47 ERA
0.97 WHP
104 SO to 13 BB

He has the edge in all 4 of those categories over Stephen.

There is not a chance in hell that Texas will take a coach that has never been to Omaha. Zero percent. Maybe that changes this year..

Bakich is better.
Vitello is better.
O'Sullivan is better.

Sadly, I think we might have to wait another year to find out either way.. Idk how he does it, but Pierce literally keeps pulling rabbits out of his hat. If he makes it for another year, Texas will be lucky to win 10 games in conference play.. and then he will be gone..

i was so confident he'd be gone after UTRGV.

now I'm not even sure he'd be fired after Aggies beat us twice in College Station.

Sorry, Texas cannot get Vitello or O'Sullivan. I know nothing about Bakich' career aspirations. And Mingione is probably going to Omaha this year.

It really is ridiculous. I guess coaches know a lot better than us but I have trouble believing a guy who’s reaching base 54% of the time in SEC play doesn’t belong somewhere on here.

And he could definitely go in one of the DH/UTL spots since he plays outfield, first base, and catcher

ChatGPT thinks we should hire one of these coaches..

1) Tadlock
2) Vitello
3) Bakich
4) Schloss
5) Godwin

Gotta say, that's a pretty good list for it to come up with..

He got totally screwed. They used the UTIL/DH spots to give Auburn and Ole Miss something. He’s not going over Cags at 1B (fine) but he has a better BA, more HR and RBI, better OBP, better OPS than Blake Burke. He’s on par or better than Nicky Lopez in most hitting categories (but Lopez plays a more premium fielding position, so fine)

Like I said, don't know about Bakich. Two and Four aren't obtainable. Tadlock used to be great but has really fallen off. Godwin would be good, but would Texas stretch that far?

Vitello is all in with Tennessee. They are building him a new stadium, and he had input in the design. Schloss has the same from A&M plus proximity to Houston. Bakich would be interesting. I think he could stay and rule the ACC at Clemson. Or does he want to try a hand at the SEC? First have to get rid of Pierce ...

I believe since it is an SEC award, they use SEC only stats. And Prager is behind Stephen in all of those categories. So probably why he's not first team.

Think Tommy Tanks deserves to be with Daly at 3B on the defensive team over Hogs 3B. After a rough year at 3rd last year, White started every game this year and made 2 errors.

You don't only look at SEC stats. Otherwise, Moore would win POY.
