I think under NCAA rules they have to finish before midnight. It was why that 3rd UGA vs NCST game got played till just before midnight instead of the next day.

Apparently the UW coach bitched about a camera on the UF stadium that was there in the first 2 games as well

Yeah, I only caught part of that. I think the camera was ok, but the laptop was not. Only a postseason rule (from the outfield)

I went over to the stadium to see the finish. Sure glad I did! I'd say there were a couple hundred there to share the joy. The team is just ecstatic.

I know softball is different than baseball but does it irritate anyone else how batters get a running start before they hit the ball?

They are called slappers as the goal is to be in motion and try to beat the ball to first. If you start from a dead stop it does not work losing that 1 - 3 seconds to get to first base. To me at least it as more exciting than plain bunting.
