I think SOME Bama fans feel like the SEC Championship is in the bag.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's the impression I get from SOME of them and bot necessarily from this board.

You must not follow the board very closely.

The SEC Championship Game was actually this past weekend in Tuscaloosa against Auburn.

Honestly, I sincerely believe that was the hardest game BAMA will play for the rest of the season. I am not a delusional BAMA fan but any damn team in the SEC that LOSES TO INDIANA does not deserve to be in the SEC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!!

Then again, you're just a Missouri fan and probably don't understand at all.

I think MOST Missouri fans that follow college FB outside of what Missouri does do understand the rivalry.

Uh, no.

You don't know what it's like to identify from birth as either Bama or Auburn.

You don't know what it's like to live in state where that divides everyone.

We talk about this game every single day of the year.

Yea, this. Out of state rivalry games, even intense ones like Mizzou-Kansas, Alabama-Tennessee, Ohio State-Michigan, etc just aren't the same as in-state ones between big public schools that have folks all over the state. There is no equal to that.

I thought Tennessee was Alabama's biggest rival though?

Historically, yes.

Most venomous, no.

Though, as a kid who grew up in East Tennessee as an Alabama fan during the mid 90s to early 2000s I can tell you I hated Tennessee much more than Auburn. But that was because I lived with them and that is the reason AU-UA is such a 24/7/365 thing.

You're damn right we are going to ignore the 24 hour rule for this one.

This one? Bama fans ignore the 50 year rule.

We are better than Alabama as a university and fan base. Don't get it twisted that just because bama cheats harder in football they are in any other way on par or measure up in any other way to Auburn.

What exactly is a historical rivalry? Is it in the same vein as the LSU-Tulane rivalry?

Alabama has played Tennessee more than anyone else (96 times, Miss State 98 times).

Alabama and Tennessee are #1 and #2 in basically every statistical category in SEC History.

SEC Titles - Bama 23, TN 13
Wins - Bama 842, TN 806
Bowls - Bama 61, TN 49
Bowl Wins - Bama 34, TN 25 (#3)

Etc, etc.

"All Bama fans care about is trolling other fan bases" Fixed the title for you guys.

What is funny is that most of these hillbillies have no tie to the program whatsoever.

Alabama's fanbase is indeed completely overlooking the Missouri game.

Unfortunately for Missouri I can guarantee you that Saban and the players are not.
