Also that shirt is completely irrelevant anyway because it comes from a company that does one for every team against practically their entire conference.

Salient point.

Aggy does a lot of looking ‘round here:

1. Lookin for a rival.......denied
2. Lookin for a chance to be offended like a democrat during Christmas (see the 3rd party saw em off shirt)
3. Lookin for respect......denied but stillllll reaching.

You ever notice there isn't any Texas fans that has memorabilia referencing A&m?

On the way to the 2000 game in Austin (a year after the bonfire collapse), I saw at least 4 sips wearing a shirt with an image of the collapsed stack that said, "What's the matter Aggies, can't get it up?"

You think Texas doesn’t consider A&M a primary rival?

When I was in grad school there, A&M was in the middle of a 10 for 11 run. I guarantee you they cared. The week before an away game at A&M, they blared crowd noise at full volume in the stadium to get ready for it.

Why is A&M the only school mentioned in their fight song?

Why is the A&M game the only one with a special event held the day before to get ready for it? (The “Hex Rally”)

Why winning the A&M game the only time the tower is lit in orange from top to bottom? (They do that for natties in any sport, but they also leave lights on to form a “1”, which is actually a really cool thing to see.)

Don’t let them fool you. The OU game is a party. The A&M game is personal.

Surly Texas message board and one of the threads is about A&M. 630+ pages and almost 2,000,000,000 views... yes 2 million. That’s a lot of posts to say you don’t care or are glad A&M went to SEC.

Your top 8 posters, here, are fast approaching that for LSU threads.

I respect them for trying so hard, even when the rivalry is lopsided and not reciprocated.

So basically among each other only is former student used? Otherwise it’s alum just like the rest of the country?

Pretty much.

A&M's roots are in military training and practical skills training in Agricultural and Engineering fields. As a result it was common in the early days for students to attend A&M long enough to gain the training/skills they needed, but leave school before officially graduating, either to take a job or, in war times, to enlist and go active duty to defend the country.

The "Former Student" moniker was adopted to recognize that leaving prior to graduation to enter the workforce or military did not make the person any less of an Aggie than an official graduate "Alumnus." These days it's mostly just done as a matter of tradition, especially because a lot of our older donors still fall into the non-graduate catagory, particularly the WW2 vets.

That’s part of what makes the Aggie Ring so meaningful to us.
It can only be ordered towards the end of one’s time in Aggieland and symbolizes the completion of a journey well traveled.

That journey includes all the gay hazing?

Ask Stoney. He’s all Aggie all the time. But not his rival.

You keep repeating the same things to all Aggie posters that call your antics out. I’m posting in Aggie topics since I’m an Aggie fan. Like the other Aggie fans on this site, you are in those topics too. Almost more consistently than Aggie posters. It appears we’re in your head, loser.
