Can't blame Saban after the Keenan Allen situation. But, he should have known the situation under which he was committing last night. Why do that, if you're going to change at the PC?

I don't know. We may never know what truly happened.

I do know that this wasn't a set-up by the Auburn coaches like some bama fans believe. Something happened between Region and the bama coaches, not him and the Auburn coaches, to cause the switch. The Auburn coaches were just as surprised as us to get Region's commitment.

He has a whole year to change his mind daily. Who knows where he ends up. Doesn't sound like his word means much so I'm sure until signing day, he'll have several other schools believing he's locked to them.

Why would we tell him that if he didnt commit now, we wouldnt offer? Makes no sense. They need to get their shite together. Thats just stupid if they really told him that.

Not much he said after the PC to reporters does. Saban has never pressured people into committing, and Coach Saban's NSD PC suggests he's might even be taking a different approach to early commits, after the Allen situation.

I don't think that's the case either. Anyone saying anything different is just pissed off. If there was even a hint of suspicion he might choose Auburn, before he actually did, someone from an Auburn website would have been at the PC to cover it.

I totally agree with this. Something Saban or another coach said hurt his feelings so he used his commitment to AU to stick it to them. I think he'll be a decent player for AU, but this reeks of immaturity IMO.

I remember seeing his picture on BOL with his full face painted and thinking, "uh oh." Players that paint their full faces have always seemed unstable to me. Unstable is good a lot of times on the football field though. They are mean little shits. I'm guessing he'll be one of those players that always seems to have a screw loose and hell to play against.

He will be able to tell his kids and grandkids that he played and lost to National Championship Alabama teams.

Bama fans should read the latest article on Scout by Andrew Bone. Spencer apologizes for giving quotes for an article on him committing to bama and says, "A few things have happened in the last couple of hours I am not at liberty to talk about..."

At the end of the article he says the biggest thing is that the Auburn coaches are allowing him to take visits, while Saban wouldn't have let him.

don't think his offer was committable at this point. maybe the family didn't understand that and got pissed when that message was relayed to them, and he picked up the aubie hat out of spite instead of calling the whole thing off. only conclusion that seems plausible here.

I'm sorry, but that is just f*cking stupid.

From Andrew Bone's twitter:

"No truth to the rumor spencer region did not have an offer from Alabama. He was committed. After what happened today he may not anymore."

Must have. Saban must have had a change in policy after Keenan Allen's recruitment.

Apology unaccepted. He should have held off on his decision. I have no sympathy.

I don't think he's taking visits to possibly change his commitment. He just wants to take them to enjoy his Senior year (ex. Shon Coleman).
