That was the easy part of my Friday night

I hadn’t placed an actual wager with a bookie in over 30 years

I screwed up and broke my own rule Friday

If BYU, Duke and Georgia win. I can see Alabama and Miami fighting for last spot. Committee going to let Notre Dame in because of it's name regardless that they lost to Miami and aren't in a Conference. But in any other sport ND are in the ACC and in hockey the BIG. Doesn't make sense. Only way the don't get in is 3 losses. Really this year with so many good teams, is the year that the Group 5 shouldn't get an automatic bid. If no Group 5 is undefeated or 1 loss than committee should tell them sorry maybe next year!

In the end Alabama beat UGA this weekend we are in. If we do not no issue and Miami would slide in

I could see this happening but then again if we're comparing resumes I'm not how Miami's resume is more deserving than Alabama's assuming there's no meaningful penalty for losing a close game to the #3 team in a conference championship game.

Alabama:

Ranked wins:

road win at #3 Georgia
home win over #13 Vanderbilt
road win at #25 Missouri

Losses:

road loss to unranked FSU
home loss to #8 Oklahoma
"neutral" loss to #2 Georgia

Miami:

Wins
home win over #9 Notre Dame

Losses

home loss to unranked Louisville
road loss to #22 SMU

I agree that a Texas Tech loss to BYU is no bueno. That would more than likely be a fatal blow to Bama's playoff chances

It's funny that one year it's used to keep Alabama out, and then the next year the standard is different to keep Alabama out again.

This place and reddit standards change depending on what helps or hurts Bama. Last year it was a complete injustice and travesty to keep SMU out if they lost the ACC championship game. This year the SEC championship game is a must win.

Only BYU beating TX Tech can bump Bama out even with a loss in the seccg...but that's not the criteria given last year and it would be BS.

So the Rant can all become Mormons this week.

I wish they’d put Vandy in over Alabama

Nobody wants to watch Alabama. Everyone would love to watch vandy in the playoffs. People love a Cinderella story

Exactly and the committee and fans want a Vandy in just like they want a Texas Tech or a SMU in so they invent one set of criteria when it helps SMU and then another when it helps a Texas Tech

People can get fricked. Vandy talked, Vandy got their chance, Vandy went home with a loss.

Ohio state barely escaping us and Georgia only surviving because the refs helped them makes us have the 2 best losses in the SEC That alone should get us to Atlanta and into the playoffs

But your only quality win was against an overrated Aggie team

But I'm not really sure why Alabama is -3300 playoff odds on Fanduel.

BYU and Georgia parlay is about +1200. The other side of that (one of them not winning) would be about - 3000.

Texas isn't getting in bro. You should probably go do something productive.
