Your numbers aren't wrong, but I believe he got them from pre-conference expansion.

Get these games done Bama. The game thrives when we get these kind of games. Hopefully Uga can get some more of these games. Having 45,000 in Notre Dame stadium at night on NBC was awesome. Even though it was not the best played game the atmosphere was awesome. I love these kind of games.

1. When you play a conference schedule as tough as the sec you can't put a tough matchup just anywhere in the scheduled. You need a tune up game before an auburn or an Lsu.
2. Even if you could who would we have possibly landed after we found out our kickoff opponents? Getting a "blue blood" for a home and home takes years ahead scheduling. There schedules are set as well. Your not gonna be able to convince say a Oklahoma st or a Georgia Tech to come to Tuscaloosa for 1 game and those types of teams are not gonna get a return game from us. There is no benefit to us traveling to Stillwater or down town ATL.
3. The fact that everyone is on tv now had giving the middling teams to much of a big head. Bama and other sec teams tried for years to get Boise to visit the southeast but they wouldn't do it without a return game. The same issue is happening now with the central floridas of the world.

It's really not that hard to figure out if you are not an unreasonable bitch.

Exactly! On the weekend of 11/17/2018 when Bama plays The Citadel, there are a grand total of SIX non-SEC FBS teams that are not playing mandated conference games. And five are those are Independents. None of which were willing to be anywhere near Tuscaloosa, Alabama and playing Bama on the next to last weekend of the year needing two wins to become Bowl eligible.

Clemson's OOC schedule is about to weaken a bit after the home and home with Aggie.

Yeah, ND is a step down, I guess?
They've got four years to find some clowns to take a beating. Plenty of time.

Since you're a Google Ninja, how long has it been since Clemson hasn't played two P5 OOC games?

Series like this are what college football should be about. I hope both happen.

Ohio State has home and homes coming up against Texas, Notre Dame, Oregon and Washington with Texas and Notre Dame in back to back seasons in 2022 and 2023 and back to back weeks in 2023. I hope those series hold. College football is better with matchups like these.

ohio st cancelled on UT too. ohio st is scared of the sec.

Lo fricking l.

Ohio State wasn’t scheduled to play Arkansas. Ohio State cancelled on Tennessee and Georgia because of the PAC10 B1G10 seriesthat was announced that the PAC10 subsequently backed out of.

If you want to pick on a college program that backs away from playing marquee matchups OOC you’re picking the wrong school to pick on by choosing Ohio State.

The records against other conferences thing just turns out weird. Alabama is about .500 against the Big 12 all time. Ohio State is 23-6-1. It’s just matchups. Some years they don’t turn out in your favor.

ND is part of the ACC agreement. Its not like Clemson went out and hooked up with ND for games. Since 2010, Clemson has only played Auburn (5) and Georgia (2). Its not like Clemson is going out there playing a variety of different teams like other schools are doing.

You don't get any credit for playing an ACC mandated game.

I'll demand whatever the fvck I want to demand thank you very much. And a season where the headline OOC game is Duke is not acceptable. Sorry not fvckin sorry.

How many times do you need the same damn thing explained to you? WE DIDNT PICK DUKE YOU DUMB MFER! Now as stated in the Bama forum by I believe PG, we should put in a clause in the future that lets us have final say on our opponents in these neutral site games.

Gaw dang thanks for explaining it to me!

The neutral site games have long sense outplayed their usefulness and now have the added negative that no program in their right mind will open the season with them. So, outside of random games with Miami we'll be getting a whole lot more Dukes and Louisville's than FSU and Michigan's.

Nice. The neutral site openers every.single.year. are really getting old.

We’ve played Bama a pretty fair amount, but I don’t remember any reg season home match ups.

Make it soon, would want Saban on the sidelines for those games.

You've played Alabama 9 times in 120+ years. That is nowhere close to "a fair amount".

Saying Ohio State is scared of the SEC is ridiculous.

Scared may not be the correct word probably more along the lines of a risk/reward situation. They don’t even have to win their division to get in the playoff just can’t take a beat down.

So why isn't Texas A&M scheduling Texas themselves? No one wants to talk about the obvious one.

Would love to see a Bama/GT matchup myself.

Agreed. But some teams can't handle a big game at the start of the season like Bama can. Bama starts the season ready to play.
