What in the hell does that have to do with last year ?
Well, Alabama was better than both of them last year.
That is obvious....

Based your assessment of Gus, why is the best gameday coach only 3-2 head to head? He always has the best talent. What about against Hugh Freeze?
Because Gus and Freeze are good coaches too and Auburn and Ole Miss (at least then) are talented teams as well. Saban isn't infallible. No coach is infallible. Hell - Bama may have the most talented roster in college football top to bottom but often other teams starting 11 are pretty fricking good too.

An "oh yeah" answer.

I am not sure any head coach would be the best game day coach. Assistant coaches make up the game plan, and advise the head coach on what changes that might benefit the team. It is ultimately the head coach decision, but it will be made with input from the assistant(s).....

He taxes his poor ole feeble brain every day on this board trying to question, diminish, trivialize and criticize anything and everything related to Alabama Football and Nick Saban in particular. He looks at Bama's record over the past decade and says they haven't faced a quality QB, that's why they win....he says Bama's overload of talent is why they win....or Bama passes the CFP committee's "eye test" and that's why they win....or the refs...or the schedule... or the competition is sub par.
He's made the statement numerous times that Saban is not the best game day coach or the best X's & O's coach. I'd like to know who he thinks is the best in the business today? Who has proven to be a consistent game day coach and can field a championship competitor every single year?

Props to bama for doing this, but watch all these teams drop off and turn to dumpster fires right before bama plays them. The shite talking about bamas soft schedules will really intensify.

It wouldn't be the coach who has the best talent, but seems to lose a game they are not suppose to. A coach who lets a team return a missed FG 100 yards. A coach that allows an inferior team to beat them in back to back years. A coach that allows an Offense to gain 630 yards on their #1 Defense. It would be a coach that when you left the game you are asking how did the team do that. Today the pickings are slim, but at one point you would choose Petterson or even Freeze when he was coaching.

With that system you have a little more solid proof or at least a criteria to prove your ability. Teams are not dependent on 12 other people thinking one team is better that the other. A system where there is a better chance of head to head matchups and not just passing the "eye test".

Saban has made two moves, the onside kick and the pulling of the starting Qb, both in the NC game that no other coach would have made to win the game.
I know you don't like or respect Saban or the UofA and I don't care but for anyone to even have thoughts that there is a better coach in NCAA football is only making a fool of himself.
But prove me wrong.

Those were his two best moves. One was one play and the other was the result of poor coaching up to that point in the game.
Nobody has said he wasn't the best coach, just wasn't the best gameday coach. His ability to prep for a team is what separates him (recruiting also), but that is the discussion of these post. Right over many Bama fans heads.

What is your point Timeshare? My self esteem is not dependent on this board and having people think I am rich and living in a 5 star resort. I think it is good to debate subjects instead of the circle jerk you perfer from your fellow Bama Fans.

No, I gave examples of Coaches who have done more with less over time. I just stated that Saban has always had more and it didn't always translate to on the field performance. I suggest you read before posting.

I am completely unaware of any coach who has more NCs than Saban.
Therefore nobody has done more than Saban.
