Just remember that in the last year before SEC expansion Alabama finished with a 12-4 conference record and didn't make the NCAA tournament. The SEC was as awful that year as it is this year. In other words, you lose today and finish with a 10-8 conference record you can kiss the NCAA record good bye.

I predicted a loss to Bama last week, but we will still make the NCAA tournament. The committee doesn't fault teams very hard for road losses.

I agree, my stance since we beat Georgia was beat Ole Miss, lose to Bama and then win at least 2 in the sec tournament. That is still a good possibility.

Accept that Alabama was a strong NCAA bubble team a couple of years ago and finished 12-4 in the conference and almost won the SEC regular season title and STILL didn't make the NCAA tournament. The league is no better this year than that year. Good luck with getting into the big dance.

The difference is you're Alabama and we're Arkansas. In college basketball we have much greater name recognition.

That Alabama team wasn't your average bubble team. Played like shite in November and December, and played like a Top 25 team in conference play.
The committee was trying to prove a point that season that games in November counted as much as games in Feb/March, thus leaving Alabama out. It was stupid imo, since Alabama was undoubtedly one of the best 68 teams in the country that season.

Which is also why this one game won't keep us out of the tournament. When the committee looks at our full resume, one road loss to Alabama isn't going to be enough to leave us completely out.
