Georgia - first time Bama has played in Athens under Kirby

The last time Georgia beat Alabama in football in Athens, Georgia, was on October 4, 2003, with a final score of 37-23.

I'm going with Bama

UGA just barely escaped the vols so I think it’s upset alert for them. If Stockton grinds out a win for them I could see him taking the lead for the heisman trophy

I think Bama will score points so UGA'S gonna have to. I just don't have faith in that defense.

I'm afraid UGA ekes one out.

Georgia. The left over OL from Sabans last three years who are now 3 yr starters still haven’t figured out how to play dominating football. All we can hope at this point is some of these highly rated guys that DeBoer pulled the last two classes are what we thought the starters now are.

Bama has won the last 2.

This "curse" is overrated.

Can't use 'just lost the last 2' when you've lost 9 of 10. Come on man!

Gunner and Co. will break the Saban curse.

“Break the Saban curse” LOL not quite. This is more of a “Gunner and Co. we’re given the DeBoer Blessing”

70% of the meetings have been in Atlanta with a 75% UGA crowd anyways

100% of those meetings also came against Nick Saban.

Deboer's teams have been poo on the road, either they shed that label this weekend or UGA sheds the Bama juju

Bama played in Athens under Kirby in 2015 and they wrecked us. Yeah, I know what you meant though.

That was Richt's last year with I'm pretty sure Greyson Lambert at QB. That guy would get sacked by a 3rd grader, he had the worst pocket presence I've ever seen out of a QB. The roster had gotten really thin.

And of course in that era Saban was sending like seven 5 stars in the box while dropping four more 5 stars into coverage. We had nooooo chance

If they truly are the better team and avoid costly mistakes, they should win, period.

Replying to myself: Georgia did not avoid certain costly mistakes which made the difference in them losing AGAIN to Alabama. That said, Kirby handled himself well after the game as did Gunner, Georgia should be fine and again in the playoff but it's reasonable to conclude that Kirby has some type of coaching block when he faces Alabama in games if this keeps happening to him. Also pointing out that he's 1-2 against LSU as well.
