I was in New Orleans before and after the hurricanes. Scam artists galore.

Met a guy from Virginia or somewhere at a bar. Asked him how liked NO. The douchebag's response was he was making a bunch of money and hoping a typhoon would would hit Hawaii so he could go there.

This whole day has made me think of one of my favorite songs. It's America Starting at about 1:20 is the part of the song that this day relates to.

We may be without power for days. Brown's Ferry took a direct hit.

We are charging everything off the cars and sitting around with candles and flashlights. But that is a mere inconvenience compared to what has happened today. My God, this is awful.

But I'm about to jack up some kids and my dog if they don't settle the frick down.

Someone send wine and Valium for me and some Jesus for these heathens that I own.

See it every week. As I said I am in insurance but consult on the companies side, not the insureds. Although I deal directly with the insureds on a daily basis and its sad to see how some of these people are screwed over by shady individuals. People get whodooed all the time by people they think are out for their best interest.

You can worry about the worse, or pray for the best? The latter is the one I would personally chose. I'm texting a friend from Auburn right now and she says things are still ok.

Glad you're still safe and the other storms didn't produce anything. Got some oil lamps if you can find any that you can use if you need, since power is gonna be out for you a few days. Beats candles.

although their are ceiling tiles, framing wood, flooring, and banking records from a business in tuscaloosa dating back from the 70's all over my front yard. A huge acoustic tile missed my car by about a foot.
