UT's alumni base isn't as tight with each other as other universities too for some reason. It's kinda odd.
Would LSU have done anything? I honestly don't know.

My daughter should have graduated last year, she knows a lot of older people, and I think had been offered a job at half the restaurants and bars in town. (Lol)
She didn’t even look at LSU, but we were just took freaked out by the crime rate around campus. That said, I could have had it taken care of at LSU or Ole Miss, but I don’t think LSU is a ton better overall. It seems like half their freshman class fails out.
What restaurant did you work at while in Austin?

Well, let's be honest. Our (Louisiana) public school system doesn't prepare you for university as much. I know so many people who failed out of LSU and went to SELU or something instead.

I'm not gonna dox myself. haha. I last worked at a cocktail bar on Rainey st. Before that. I don't think she was in Austin yet because I stopped after COVID happened. I'm assuming she started Fall '20

Yeah she started the Covid year. That was fricked up too. We were lucky she was in Hardin House. I barely got to meet a lot of Texas Alums etc due to that. They were all great guys etc.

Yea I couldn't imagine that. But at least she was in a sorority. Probably made it way easier honestly. Did they have a lot of girls still in the house then?

Those rankings frankly don’t mean much. I appreciate someone making an attempt to provide such a service but it is essentially impossible to produce anything meaningful.
I assume you know some of the meaningless or immeasurable criteria used.
Around 2008 or so, Alabama was ~8 in the country among public institutions in the Forbes rankings, in either one or two years they were in the 70s or 80s. That was with no significant changes.
