The actual biggest factor in that is not the education system, it's the will for the student to learn.

Spoken like someone who attended the prestigious Chattahoochee Valley Community College.

People would gladly relocate out of Huntsville if the jobs were moved out of that shite hole of a state.

Relocate them where? The California desert?

Are you so ignorant that you think these businesses are just randomly located in areas?

Dumbass.

Where did I say it was advantageous to businesses to relocate? I said the employees would gladly relocate if the job moved.

The funny thing is Huntsville wants to be left alone. They really do not want people moving there. People in Huntsville fought like crazy to stop an interstate coming through (successfully) and tried to stop the I-565 spur (unsuccessfully). However they did tie it to 72 going to Scottsboro (which I find really funny)

Huntsville and Fairhope are the only non total shitholes in Alabama.

I’ll wait for you to explain how the affluent suburbs of Birmingham over the mountain are shitty and relative to what.

It’s a pretty boring state landscape wise

Compared to what, CA? Point granted.

Otherwise you have mountains from Birmingham north and east, the TN river and white sand beaches and Mobile Bay to the south.

I didn't go to college, I'm a self taught programmer.

I didn't graduate high school either technically.

Not necessarily, there have been companies that moved elsewhere (not many but some) and the employees did not want to move with them. Intergraph comes to mind (founded in Huntsville)

Our strategy is still working just fine.
Mississippi is a great place to live but we do not want too many people moving here to mess it up for all of us that know the secret.

So please keep low balling us. That is just fine with us.

I've traveled all over the country and there aren't many places I'd rather live than Fairhope... although it's been growing way too fast over the past decade. Every state has nice places and every state has crap holes. I put 0 stock in rankings where the methodology these days includes how many LGBTQXYZ museums there are per capita.
