U.S. News

That's great news for us Alabama people and I hope they keep writing articles about how Alabama sucks forever. Those dumb liberal fricks at U.S. News hate our state and they're making sure other liberals won't move here. That goes for the rest of you as well. We don't want your kind around here, especially if you're from Tennessee. Frick 10rc.

All of those are outstanding places to raise a family or live and I am sincerely thankful to that magazine for continuing to convince people from the east and west coast not to move there.

That is the spirt. Please do not move there, you will lower the IQ of the state.

I mean, Alabama can get men to the moon and back and possibly Mars. We do not need people who can not even contribute

I know you’re a gump and probably not well edumacated but they’re talking about the state in the Pacific Northwest where Seattle is located, not DC.

You mean the state where they allowed their capital building to be occupied by a bunch of Antifa aholes for several weeks? Please oh please let us all live in some liberal hellhole that allows a bunch of freaks to run the show. I want to live where they have decriminalized all drugs! USNews certainly knows what most Americans want in a state

List all states that offer great beaches, beautiful mountains, great food and beautiful woman. You would have to put California at the top of the list, but the liberal assholes pushes them way down. My list has NC, SC, GA(liberals are killing it), and Alabama.

Alabama is shite. Deal with it. I would much rather live in Washington than the shite hole that is Alabama.

Apparently the people who actually live in Washington don't agree with you.

Like most liberal states, Washington has negative domestic immigration. Meaning, more American citizens are leaving the state, than those coming in.

Alabama ranks 12th in the amount of domestic immigration. Meaning, only 11 states in the US have more people moving to it than Alabama.

In fact, the states with the highest domestic population growths are all southern red states. Texas is #1, Florida is #2.

Arizona, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Idaho, Utah and Nevada round out the top 10.

So if Washington is so great, why do more American's leave than come in? Why do the majority of states that rank high on the US News list have so many people leaving?

However, states like Washington and California etc do have overall population growth. But it's all international immigrants. Foreigners, not Americans are basically the only ones moving to these states.

So I stand by what I said, and the actual immigration numbers back it up. I myself left California back in 2012, moving to Tennessee, then Arizona and now Florida.

Yep and as I pointed out in my above post, most of them have negative domestic immigration because the citizens are leaving like crazy.

They are all moving to the red states. Texas and Florida are the most popular locations, but basically the entire South East is the top10 outside a few places like Idaho and Utah, aka red states.

Yes, stupid people and extremely wealthy leave those states. Let’s compare the education levels of Alabama and Washington, shall we?

Yes, let us. Alabama got man to moon and back. Alabama got Skylab and the ISS built and in space? The Space Shuttle had to have Alabama clear it.

Washington? Yes, a lot of Aero Space is there, but it mostly builds not researches.

edit to add- the Space Command is moving to Alabama

In case you do not realize it, you are losing this discussion badly

People leave the states because the laws get dumber and more oppressive by the year, the cost of living is extreme and even though you are making $300k a year, by the time the cost of living is taken into account, you're better off in a red state making $60-$80k a year.

These are the things people actually give a frick about, and that's reflected in the immigration patterns.

As for education, the fact you think those ratings mean anything makes me question yours. Those ratings have very little to do with if you as an individual can get a quality education. The actual biggest factor in that is not the education system, it's the will for the student to learn.

Going further, all those rankings really do is highlight what I said originally about it's bias. It thinks the only value in the education system is to produce college graduates, with a factor of how much it costs.

I come across extremely dumb people with college degrees all the time, it's just a business. The overwhelming majority of that shite you can learn for free on YouTube and google without going into large amounts of debt. I did and still do daily.

So that shite means absolutely nothing to me, nor should it matter to anyone with half a brain. When you actually move around and schools are an issue, you don't look at the states rankings - you look at the individual schools that are going to be in the neighborhood you are moving too. And that's largely going to be a matter of the local community, not the states overall.

When it comes to schools, it's not "College graduate rates" that mean a damn thing, and if you think it does - you should ask for a refund on whatever level of education you have received.
