It's amazing how quick Alabama fans turn. A couple bad snaps away from another national championship, yet they want the GOAT to retire.

I don't want Saban to retire tbh

I like the challenge each year

A new Bama coach will certainly cause them to drop off somewhat to start and that sucks IMO

as much as i hate to admit it, 2019 LSU was the last legit champion of CFB as we remember it

If Cecil Hurt were alive and said it....I would believe it. But... If Cecil knew, he wouldn't have divulged it so there's that.

I must have missed that post somewhere? What Bama fan said they wanted Nick to retire?? That's like saying LSU would NOT want Nick to coach there again lol.

The game against Michigan makes me think he may give it one more try. No one wants to go out on a busted play

Not trying to be insulting to you personally D4L, but this mindset to me is utterly stupid. Maybe if we were close to .500 against him it'd be a different story but when it's a nearly guaranteed loss every time we meet it is absolutely pure insanity to wish that it continues.

Ok...are you sure you're a UGA fan? Why would that suck? It would be the exact opposite of sucking. Did you also hope that spurrier stayed at UF another decade? Were you bummed when they replaced meyer with mcelwain?

I've said it here a bunch, but I've heard him speak on both many times, and this will be why he eventually retires, IMO.

Not sure if that's today or five years from now, but every coach will tell you it's just not the same game anymore.

He hates someone having to give an 18-year-old kid a "reward" for showing up instead of making him earn it on the field — just how these old-school guys are wired.

Well look how many elite College Basketball Coaches decided I am not dealing with NIL and Portal. That is why Coach K at Duke and Williams at UNC retired.

We are only talking about 13 Scholarship players to deal with, with football 85.

He won't leave until he is ran off or can't coach anymore for personal reasons. His ego will not let him leave on a bad note and his style is getting harder with the NIL and several teams having alot of talent he will have to play each year.

This talk will continue until after the NC and he does something to show he is definitely staying or the coaching changes die down. Bama isn't going to let him wait until the one they want settles in for next year.

Saban is still one of the best coaches in college football. Not to mention he looks to be in great health. Retiring doesn’t make sense and he has a great team coming back next year. I thought he did a great coaching job just getting Bama in the playoff.

Nick is going to coach until he is 75. Deal with it as best you can.

CrimsonFever:

Well I for one did not believe this Saban is retiring stuff, so I was surprised to see an Alabama radio station being the source of this. Honest to goodness. Other SEC Media markets saying this, ok can see that. It was TexAgs that actually first put that BK might go to Michigan. I heard Nuno and Lucci talk about it on their show before anyone in Baton Rouge or New Orleans, etc started that.

I sort of think like Larry Bird. When he was growing up he would go down to the Hotel and play against the Cooks and Janitors who were all Black guys (his words) and He said they treated him well like he was from the neighborhood. He said we wanted to play against them because they were the best players.

Well I want to see LSU get another shot at Saban next year in Baton Rouge. He is the best and before some of the more irrational Bama posters come in at me, I am not saying LSU is going to beat Saban next year.

Just want the opportunity to see LSU go up against him 1 more time as with the new schedule, it may be 2028 the next time LSU plays Bama in Baton Rouge.

Suckers bet. People now know you can blitz Milroe and he will shat his pants. You can bet the other head coaches paid attention.

They might even take the UGA approach in defending him.

How did that work for you Sport?
