I feel like what could be the culprit is the same reason Saban couldn’t handle the NFL. He likes complete control and NIL takes that away. I have a feeling many other coaches are willing to put up with a level of ego behind closed doors. Much like Phil Jackson coaching the Bulls/Lakers. Pick your battles. But who knows.

As a resident of Alabama, I can guarantee you 100% that the fan base is in a panic. After seeing Young,Hurts, Tua and Jones come and go, they were expecting another plug and play QB to step in and just continue the tradition, but they now realize they don't have a solid QB on the roster. They pulled out a tough win against USF, but you can't tell by the reaction of its fans!

According to TV today, they get at least one at least every 3 years. Kinda hard to understand why recruits wouldn't wanna be there.
I agree but even that was earned, not handed.

it's not Saban's job to be an NFL feeder school. His job is to win college games - which he's done exceedingly well.

He wins college games because he has made Alabama into an NFL feeder school. That is how you win SEC championships and national championships. You can't win in the SEC by just getting guys who are great college players. You need future great NFL players and Saban uses his NFL feeder status to his advantage.

With all the highly ranked QB’s they have I can’t believe what they are putting on the field
Are rankings wrong or they don’t have the coaching?

I can't blame the QB. The OLine was letting a single edge rusher run around the line and pressure on every play.

HP should have a field day.

you're missing my point. Of course Saban puts players in the NFL because he recruits elite talent.

My point is that it's not Saban's job to develop QBs so they'll be successful in the NFL. It's his job to get his QBs to win college games for Alabama, period.

If his QBs make it in the NFL, great. But that's not Saban's job.

They were pretty average last year besides Bryce Young. He kept them in several games by himself.

Gibbs was great too

He could have gotten just about any coaching job after the Miami failure. He chose a school in the same division as LSU

Baloney. How many top programs were looking for a coach that year? How many were willing to pay what Bama paid? If you hate Saban it is YOU with the character flaw.

Pretty wise move, wouldn't you say.
Most folks looking for a new job weigh the benefits vs negatives.

Saban no longer has the energy to maintain the level of demand from his players he has in the past. He is winding down his career. He won't outstay his ability to be competitive.

This is what people saw when watching us play during the Les 2010s. So much talent, no fricking QB worth a shite

Even crazier for bama since they should be deep at QB

The offensive line looks fat and slow. They have more than a quarterback problem. Their running backs are top notch.

I would not be at all surprised if Saban takes a shot at bringing Nuss in through the portal.

If so those of you who have little respect for Garrett's talents may have occasion to reevaluate his game.

Who has little respect for him? Everyone is rooting for him, just not his time this year. That’s all people are saying. I’ll pull for anyone that wants to put on an LSU jersey.
