re: What does 86 mean?

Back in the mob days, when someone said “go 86 him” - it meant to drive a person 8 miles out into the desert and put him 6 feet into the ground
No mobster ever said "go 86 him" and it would never mean that. It was basically just eliminating a menu item because you ran out.

Now in context of 86 47, it means to eliminate or get rid of Trump, which is dubious.

He chose Arkansas. Calipari seems focused on freshmen still.

ETA: HS Commitments still aren't signed contracts.

Parents should get arrested.

At least they just arrested the father of the 15 yo girl who killed 2 at her school and wounded a bunch of others. Good seeing that be more common in these disasters.

So what's the norm now? And again, why would an airline need passengers there 60 minutes beforehand? Was there any reason they couldn't accommodate him, tardy as it was?
It may take 20 minutes to board, and you probably want passengers to check in at least 10 minutes before you start boarding. Now if you add luggage, you can easily see that at 60 minutes. This dude wasn't at the gate, he was at the front desk.

At this airport (airports control 90% of it) with Frontier they said 60 minutes, and this guy showed up 30 minutes late.

This. For all of the talk about serial killers they didn't catch and crimes they didn't stop, I am sure he just learned about the thousands that the FBI did stop.

It is a huge organization that does a ton of good and I am glad he is taking it seriously, no matter what he previously said on some podcasts.

Why would an airline need passengers to check-in 60 minutes minimum in advance? Have they ever accommodated passengers who arrived < 60 minutes?
That used to be the norm. 60 minutes for domestic, 2 hrs for international.

30 minutes at the check in counter is universally late, especially if the guy was trying to check in bags and acting like an entitled ahole.
quote:

No he showed up 50 minutes before the flight.
On the video he says he showed up 30 minutes before the flight.

He literally caught himself in a lie.
Not sure what that post has to do with this thread. And while I am sure there is some fraud, I am also sure Musk is lying about the numbers.

If I was in charge of DOGE and wanted to find fraud, I would investigate ex-cops collecting disability... now that I could believe would be over 100k.
quote:

Incorrect. He was their 50 minutes before the flight and they originally were going to check him in
So he says now, but everything on that video says 30 minutes late. Even HE says it!

And they probably were going to try to, but then he acted like a complete ahole.
quote:

"But according to the customer, identified by the New York Post as a 45-year-old married father of three, the gate agents had originally told him they'd check him into his flight despite his having missed the 60-minute cut-off by about 10 minutes - until, that is, they heard him mutter, “I’m never flying this sh—y airline again.”

“When I said that, the lady who I was talking to took a step back and gasped, and was like, ‘How dare you curse at me? I’m not checking you in. I don’t have to check you in.’ And my reaction was, ‘You will check me in.’ I think those were the words that I used,” he said."
He admitted to the 2 quotes of his act that were on the video, but ignored the one lady who said he was 30 minutes late, not 10. I am sure he said a lot more as everyone had their phones out when he started recording. And late is late.

Any bets as to his state of origin?
He clearly threw a fit before this video started. Even the white guy 30 feet away called him out.

2 of which were Justice Hill and Cam Hayes.

In 2023 he signed three top 100 rated transfers
And we had a decent season.

In 2025 he signs three top 100 rated transfer (for the third time)
Which may lead to a decent season.

Overall ranking:

LSU:
24: 16
23: 47
22: 17

Florida:
24: 61
23: 51
22: 31

Florida is the National Champion. LSU has as many SEC wins in 3 years as Florida had just this season alone
I guarantee you a lot of teams had better recruiting rankings than Florida in that time.

And Florida had transfer rankings of:
24: 35 (Martin outplayed his ranking)
23: 12 ( they killed it with newcomers and transfers with multiple years of eligibility)
22: 9

The 2023 class was criminally underrated.

Why is his goto someone he saw on TV?

At this point just let the judge pick someone. Will probably be competent.
Wow. That is pretty big. Not sure where Ole Miss turns to for a point guard now. I am guessing the other guy that NC State got might beg out of his commitment and become available.

I think the NIL will come down a bit next year, or at least level off from the explosion this year. Long term I think the best path is to bring in 4-5 man freshman classes and develop, hoping for a bit of home team discount in the long term.
Yeah, the cockroaches can't come up with enough garbage on the Rant so they have to crawl all over every other thread.

As a side note Haggerty from Memphis seems to be down to NC State and Ole Miss. And his price is reportedly back down to $3 million. I can see Ole Miss doing that since they don't have a point on their otherwise talented roster, but Wade would be pulling a second starting quality point. Clearly he has $10m plus to play with. And people think he wouldn't have jumped ship from LSU.

Was heading down to Baton Rouge, but held up short in Oxford. Google maps pointed out the Tornado warnings in S Mississippi. Good luck.
Miami just got a good point guard from Michigan I believe. I guess CG3 is looking to be a well paid backup.

You probably wouldn’t turn down $12,000,000 because that’s more than you’re going to make in your entire life, but LSU was going to pay him very well and we have multiple QB’s in the NFL who are going to make $100,000,000+ in their careers. I would’ve definitely turned down the Michigan money considering how much it’s going to cost him in the long run
Yeah, because if history has taught us anything, Michigan never puts QBs in the NFL.
