I'm hearing that Saban is wanting to drop this as a yearly rivalry.

I called my cousin, who's a Gump, to needle him about it, and he was all for it. Said it's "not a rivalry anymore". I was surprised to hear him say this.

I found it a little curious to want to drop TSIO right after getting spanked by Tennessee.

Maybe he's now scared of Tennessee? I mean, he was scared of a little girl.

I don’t blame the administration one bit after your fans ran onto the field to attack our players.

It's a story that's being worked right now. I expect it to be out in two or three days.

Is it BS? I don't know. I just know that there are journalists working the story right now.

That's exactly what my idiot Gump cousin said.

So I'm guessing there is some sentiment to support this, since the first Gump to comment here is for it.

Maybe my journalist buddy isn't too far off.

Give it a rest man. Saban is one of the biggest proponents of maintaining tradition and rivalries in college football.

Vols pull out 1 win in 15 yrs, and this is all you've got?

Vols only managed 52 points and let Bama score 49

Sewanee (former SEC school) beat the Tide 54 - 4 in Tides only loss that season

Sewanee spanked Alabama
Tennessee scraped by with a FG @ Knoxville with seconds to go

Clearly Vol fans do not understand what spanked means, but they do know the meaning of butt chugging.

You really believe this?

First, that the fans 'attacked' the Gump players, and second, this 'attack' justifies getting rid of TSIO?

Every other fanbase in the SEC has screamed how unfair it was for us to play you every year after we pushed your shite in for a decade and a half.

Now that you were gifted one little win, we're scared. Oh ok.

Well, Tuscaloosa justifies it like this:

quote:

I don’t blame the administration one bit after your fans ran onto the field to attack our players.

So you don't agree, I take it?

I hope you hillbillies can manage to upset UGA and get to deal with us again in Atlanta. Don't think you'll get all the calls next time.

A narrow 3 point win at home with a 30 year old QB after losing 15 in a row. Yeah, terrifying.

100%

It was clear they entered the playing field with intentions of causing bodily harm to persons or property affiliated with Alabama. Frankly, it’s a miracle only one player was attacked.

I could see Tennessee wanting to end that game. But Alabama? No.

LunaFreak,

Aren’t Tennessee fans notorious for throwing golf balls and mustard bottles at opposing teams? I mean that is Philadelphia fans level trashy.
