TVA had plans for about 17 nuclear reactors at about 6 locations along the Tennessee river.
Until Three Mile Island incident occurred in the 1970's, those ambitious plans were all put on hold.
Bellafonte was only partially built at the time, behind other projects like Sequoyah and Watts Bar in Tennessee. Bellafonte was ahead of other projects you never heard of in Mississippi and Tennessee.
These plans ultimately were scrapped, due to costs, etc.
And basically only a few new nuclear plants have opened since TMI.
But, I guess this hurts your conspiracy theory, unless you think the REC caused the TMI incident in Pennsylvania in the 1970s risking the lives of millions hoping that it would help Alabama football 40 years later.

Yea, ok. How many of those National Championships are legit prior to the bought ones in 2008+? Alabama football is what it was prior to Saban being hired, and that is 20+ years of losing and probation. Notice since Saban and Crosswhite showing up, Alabama has not been on probation at all. Money Talks.

And the CEO of Apple is an Auburn grad. By that logic, they must be REALLY cheating, because that shite is way overpriced.

You want to talk poll era titles? Ok.
Bryant's and Stallings are completely undisputed. That's 7 between 1958 and 2006 - an average of one natty every 7 seasons.
Using that same critera of UPI, AP, BCS, or playoff titles, that's the same number of titles as the rest of the SEC COMBINED.
That work for you?

Holy Crap!, Alabama Power is no stranger to funneling money. They were just busted for funneling money to a Politician, Luther Strange.
So all of you saying this couldn't happen because they are owned by Southern Company, well apparently it can and has.

Alabama Power? We knew they were involved when their lobbyist Jeffrey H. Wood, a then-Balch partner, was on Capitol Hill in 2016 inquiring about the North Birmingham EPA matter. Nucor Steel was also involved in AJE and a corporate executive declared under oath, according to a Whitmire tweet, that he “didn’t know AJE money was going to pay the Oliver Robinson Foundation. He found out about that in May 2017” after reading the bombshell story on AL.com. Even if Alabama Power was duped like Nucor (or more actively involved like Drummond), the intricate details being exposed demonstrate unequivocally that inherent goodness was not behind the “brilliant scheme” Gilbert and others at Balch had in mind. Alabama Power has the right to tackle government overreach, environmental extremism, and even cleanup efforts. But being advised to set up a bogus, AstroTurf entity that eventually and secretly bought a politician and suppressed poor African-Americans in North Birmingham goes way too far; it’s criminal.
