Because most of these titles that are being crowded about are from sports other than football and basketball, which are really the only two NCAA sports that count towards anything.

This isn’t true at all. The whole reason LSU fans were so pissed when Saban returned to college football is because he went to one of their biggest rivals.

It's still a rivalry. The games are usually competitive.

This wasn't really a "rivalry" until 2011 in my opinion.
A few of the games have been entertaining, and I wish we call all play everyone, but I don't think you make LSU permanent for Bama.

Yeah, they try to force rivals on us all the time. Yesterday we were rivals with Texas A&M, the day before, Arkansas. I don’t care enough about any of these schools to be that passionate about disliking them. I hate Auburn more than any other but if I’d have gone to a different college I’d still feel that way.

While I was in college, Auburn and Florida were the games that mattered.
The few years during my JUCO and LSU time, I don't think LSU lost to Alabama even once in football.
I don't know about baseball, I had no interest in watching Smoke.
