Best defense until you play in Sanford next month. Then, assuming we stay healthy, our goons are gonna treat Iamalavalamp just like they did Texas Qbs. You get 10 pts at most between the hedges.

And Tennessee can do the same to your QB. Your QB is below average who rode the wave of Brock Bowers and McConkey.

Tennessee has a very good defense and a good running game. Not sure either is "the best" but they are good.

Tennessee's passing game is hot garbage though. Their starting QB has gone over 211 yards once as a starter (including last year) against UTC. That 211 game was with 2 picks against NC State.

One dimensional teams struggle against even decent defenses. Tennessee has not topped 25 points in a single SEC game this year. The reason for that is that Nico is not good.

Tennessee will likely keep it close against good teams... and bad teams. And they'll have some wins and losses against both good and bad teams (see Arkansas).

They need to figure out a passing game if they want to contend in the playoff.

I would disagree with OP and say this is a bit above average Tennessee team.

They're giving up 17 PPG in SEC play and scoring 21.5, their defense isn't dominant enough and they don't score enough points to beat the really good to elite teams.

Nico's best day in terms of passing yards in his career against a major conference opponent is 211 yards passing against NC State. Beck, for all his inconsistency this year, has two 400+ yard passing games against SEC opponents.

Nico has literally had ONE good passing game in his career... and it was against UT Chattanooga.

Very good teams don't lose to teams like Arkansas in the middle of the season LSU is the best defense in the SEC. Held Arkansas to less points and yards than tenner could.

Very good teams don’t lose to USC. They are currently 16th in the Big 10

Yet LSU lost to the USC Trojans which already have 4 losses so far this season.

Nico leveled up late in game against Bama.

He had some kind of mental hang up...after his near injury...he exploded and made multiple NFL throws to win our biggest game in the past two years.

He will improve leaps and bounds by the UGA game.

Keep thinking we are one dimensional though. When Nico is on, he's as good as any QB in the country.

He's going to be really good very soon and you know it

He's beat our two biggest rivals in the same year as a FRESHMAN.

He won the Bama game along with our D and Sampson.

If that were Joe Milton out there, he would have choked 110 percent.

Nico came out and threw DIMES.

This is a post about Tennessee and Alabama…I’ll try and give you some attention though. Your team is a hair better than Auburn.

Joe Milton played a better game vs Alabama last year than Nico did yesterday.

Keep telling yourself that. Hendon was your best shot. It didn’t workout. I’m sorry bruh.

I have told posted this around: this South Alabama defense isn't going to cut it in the SEC.

Honestly I was pulling for Tennessee that year. I really liked Hendon….its just my honest opinion that your team is not a contender. I guess that hurts your feelings. Good news is that it will play out, and you don’t have to bookmark this thread.

They aren't.

They struggle to score points.
Average QB play
Good run game
Good defense but not elite
