Baton Rouge, LA

Performance rankings

56th overall (47th last quarter)

Birmingham, AL

59th overall (65th last quarter)

Looks like BR is going backwards and Bham is going forward to me. Both about the same overall.

Both are shitty schools, but LSU's alumni base and connections to Houston and Dallas make it a wiser choice in my opinion.

It's MUCH lower. Especially insurance. I just moved to Tenn and our car insurance is ONE FOURTH the cost for the same coverage. Housing prices are about half.

Okay well here you go ya Yankee frick. How much did you have to pay to attend UMich? I have attended UA for free. I actually make around $1500 a semester going to school because of excessive scholarships. I have been able to see three national championships, probably a fourth, since my time as a student. I have banged a lot of hot sorority chicks (I know, you probably didn't see many attractive coeds in your time at Michigan). I have never had to walk to class through snow. Oh yeah, I have seen Alabama demolish both of your state's football programs. I live a comfortable distance form the shitehole of Detroit.

And finally, I just got a job offer for 80k/yr. From my pov, my school isn't so shitty.

Many believe that statement would have merit...except for the grammatical error (It's...contraction for it is). Bama is probably experiencing growth because of the titles brought to them by Saban. Bama feels that Saban has been their best investment. He has.

Louisiana is more than just Baton Rouge. Our second best economic city is about as promising as Alabama's first. And as someone said, Houston and Dallas have huge connections to LSU.

I'm just saying that LSU grads have more opportunities even though LSU is inferior to Alabama academically.

I'm an LSU student and the university is not good. I'm consistently astounded at the low level of education I receive. But LSU and Alabama are both in the category of "good enough". It won't make your career, but I don't think it will close any doors.

Does finding where I forgot to put an apostrophe actually make you feel better about the decline?

And yes, I agree Higgs. Both LSU and A&M grads benefit tremendously from the petro chemical business.

Michigan has a pretty successful football program - especially in the 90s. We only lead the nation in wins or something...

We have our fair share. Unlike podunk Alabama, we attract students from all over the country so we have a diverse range of girls.

Is that really that taxing to you? I've never had to walk through 100 degree temperatures with high humidity.

I've seen Michigan beat Alabama as well.

Where? The booming metropolis of Montgomery or Huntsville? That's why your school is a shithole. Michigan opens doors to New York, Chicago, San Francisco, LA, and so forth. $80,000. Gee goolly, that's swell. Get the frick outta the way with your median salary you slack jawed yokel. Michigan doesn't have time for that. Alabama opens doors to Birmingham, Mobile, Jackson, Atlanta. Woohoo! "Big business" laughs at Alabama. Michigan is superior to Alabama in every single academic category and you know it. We, literally, have billions of more money than you you inbred, toothless hick. We are a national player. You are a joke. You are a fraud. Your school is a shitty state school. Face it. Your school is shite. Face reality.

LSU was never on par with UA in academics. So, there really shouldn't be any butthurt about it. I mean, no one would ever mention Alabama in the same breath as Vanderbilt.

Louisiana has ten times the number of reality tv shows than gump land. Who the frick wants to see gump life on TV.

I will give to the gumps they have the most couches and washing machines on the front porches per capitia then any other state or country in the world.

Houston. Our school is diverse too. I guess you didn't read the article. It's more than 50 % oos. Median salary? I would say that's pretty good for a 23 year old. I'm positive I am doing better at my age than you were at the same age. We all know Michigan is one of the top public schools in the country. Alabama definitely isn't shitty or entirely regional either. I actually interned with some Michigan grads. Guess what? We got paid the same and I kicked their arse. You're probably just bitter because you know the separation between our degrees is a lot less than you want it to be. Some Alabama dumb frick grad cannot possible be more successful than you can they? Wasn't a recent CEO of PWC a Bama grad? Doesn't seem like anyone laughed at him. You're a dumbarse.
