We have pretty much been the most physical team in the nation the last couple of years. Soft? Doubt that. We may drop a couple of games this year but not from being too soft.

you got s reject Louisiana DE, some retread DT from Hoover, a big fat guy that did not do anything last season (Chapman) and some undersized guys that are freshman. Not good.

then you got two undersized LB that have not been healthy an entire season in the SEC. That is not impresive.

For those of you with reading disabilities, the OP stated that Bama is overrated because of the criteria given in the article. Some of you need to learn how to fricking read. It really has nothing to do with NASA.

what about him. He had a good game in the championship. You know who else had a good game in the championship one year. Justin Vincent. Never duplicated it. Not legit.

I wasn't singling you out. I was talking to the Bama fans who were getting so defensive.

So you think his only good game was the NC? And I'm not really sure what an overweight, eventual slob of a RB has to do with this convo...

ok. Honestly I would take Florida's DL over Bamas this season. And its just freshman. If these guys on Bamas team were going to excel, they would have done so already. Just because they are big does not mean they are good defensive lineman.

Bama's defense was just pretty much Mclain, Barrow, and the CB whose names sound Peurta Rican. The defensive line were pretty much just stiffs.

Dareus led the team in sacks as a nonstarter. He was fourth on the team in tackles for a loss. 2 of our LB's led that category, as well as our LB leading the team in tackles. That tells me in a 3-4 defense, the line was doing it's job in opening holes for them to get through to make plays.

They're still stats. He started out stronger in the season and had most of his sacks, against Lsu. He played decent off the bench against Va Tech and Arky and dropped off in tackles the second half of the season. Still.. in a 3-4, the LB's will always have the bulk of tackles and sacks if the line is doing their job. And if we finished 2nd in run defense, I think they did fine. Got 13 or 14 games for them to prove themselves. Btw.. I used this site.
