They’ve gotten a bunch of talented 4 and 5 stars from out of state who are highly touted and think that by being recruited to Alabama they are the best. It’s natural. But, the hunger and fire is missing. The great talent will take you only so far. You also need the drive within to be a great TEAM.

Also, Alabama had injuries to starters and there weren’t sophomores and juniors ready to step in and fill the gaps. You see whole recruiting classes full of 4 and 5 stars every year and you just think there will be someone to take the place of the starter and there isn’t.

Bama needs more guys who are talented and also hungry and have a chip on their shoulder and feel disrespected. That’s hard to find for them right now because of who Alabama is. Will be interesting to see how this team bounces back.

I mean sure or maybe they got destroyed by injuries this year. But your theory is nice too.

Got to sometimes look beyond the stars to find talented players it’s not the end all.

They’ve become complacent and entitled. Saban has inadvertently built a culture of entitlement and players show up there thinking they will win simply because they’re at Alabama.

- We entered 2020 replacing 4 guys in the front 7 (DT, DE, OLB, MLB). So, we were already breaking in new guys.

- We then lost our returning MLB (Moses), our new MLB (McMillon) and within a few weeks our new DE (Ray)

- We started true freshman at ILB #1, ILB #2, DE and DT for most of the season. Our first wave of reserves in at DT and DE were almost all true freshman.

It was just one of those years where you are starting over at certain positions.........and then we basically lost 2/3 of the guys who were supposed to take over. Going to be hard for any program to replace all that and still be good. Add to that some sub-par coaching and it was a recipe for disaster.

It is what it is, no excuses, but it'd be silly to act like this wasn't one helluva unfortunate year on that side of the ball for us.

Some of you are acting exactly like aggot fans did last year after they finally beat you. Learn from history. Even if it's yesterday.
