Sad to see
quote:
"He quit going to class; he quit coming here. We tried to encourage him; we tried to help him," Saban said via 247Sports. "We had tried to set up counseling sessions with him to help him every way we could. And all those things are still available to him if he wants them, but he didn't respond to any of the things, so until he responds, you just have to assume the guy quit."

Plus their true freshman were trash in 2019 according to most of you.

Moses(2017) was also injured last season

Not according to me. But I'm the most hated Alabama poster, so doesn't really matter.

Ol Saban has been star gazing instead of getting those guys that are mature, self-motivated or whatever the frick

Not sure it's that, but I do know Saban made a big deal about getting high character guys this last cycle.
Also told that one RB to pound sand, as did a few others.

Alabama’s freshmen IMO were some of the highlights of their defense last year. Tough to be thrown into the fire like that.

It's good he finally decided to quit recruiting guys just to keep them off other teams.
There has to be competition outside of practice in order to truly grow as a player.

There are more than a few fans who think Golding should be fired because the freshman weren't playing like the guys about to get drafted for the NFL by November.
Really sucks having to deal with that kind of stupid in your own fanbase.

This is what happens when your coach is too lazy to recruit and starts star gazing.
Those won’t be the last flops for Sabah!

Have seen that a few times as well.
Hadn't personally thought of Cochran as a problem really, but these new guys we hired apparently have been known to improve injury rates, so I'm a bit curious on that.
Certainly doubt any claims that SC is to blame for any true freshman lacking physically though.
SC has been around for like 12 years or whatever and the injury bug has been recent.

You’re misinformed or misunderstanding. There’s a big difference in not being talented and not being ready for the fire.
The Alabama defense had 7 true freshmen on the field at times last year. Including the entire middle of the defense being freshmen after October.

I haven't seen that. They were inexperienced, which limited the effectiveness of the defense. This year will be more reflective of their real talent and potential, or Golding's potential to call a defense at a high level, or both.

You guys don't go to the Alabama forum here very much do you?
Hell, just do a search for "Shane Lee" and you'll get all you can handle.
I'll get you started:
Facts people don’t want to hear
quote:
- Shane Lee sucks and should not play a down next year with the talent we are bringing in next year. Too slow and has worst agility, can’t shed blocks, and can’t see over lineman. His max potential is maybe Trey depriest.
- Dale has not been impressive besides the fact he has started as a freahman.
- Tennison sucks
- Brian Robinson has no acceleration and should be beat out next year
quote:
Kamikaze package for Lee next year.
Every play his sole assignment is to line up ten yards off the opposing center and run full bore with a head of steam into him each play.
Tell me my plan is any worse than what you've seen this season on defense.
quote:
There’s not a single player on this defense that would have seen the field from 2008-2015.
quote:
Joe Kines had better defenses in 04 and 05 than what we have thrown out there these last 2 years and you couldn’t understand a damn word he said.
