You are correct. As of now, Bama has by far the best resume in College Football and it isn't even close.

***However, count me out of the camp that thinks Bama should be in the playoff with a loss Saturday, no questions asked. I don't think Bama will lose Saturday, but if they do, then folks should wait and see how the game and other games play out over the weekend.

All of the talk from the ESPN talking heads about how there isn't even a debate about whether Bama would still be in the playoff if they lost Saturday is ludicrous.

If Ohio State and Oklahoma were to win convincingly, and if Bama were to somehow inexplicably lose in a game that wasn't all that close, then I do think a strong debate should occur.

We lost to Ole Miss back in 2014. That team wasn't close to being unstoppable.

They played four ranked teams. Three of them are 8-4 and the other is LSU.

Settle down.

More than Ohio State played, though.

Also, if Ohio State does get in, they'll have the biggest loss margin (29 points to Purdue) of any team to ever make the playoffs.

Yeah this Ohio State team wants no part of Bama or Clemson or Georgia. They act like it was just that loss and they are confident after beating a severely overrated Michigan team but just got by the rest of the season. Should have lost to Nebraska as well. I won’t say they don’t get in over a one loss Bama but it would simply be because of Bama fatigue. It certainly won’t be because they are better than Alabama.

How is Urban's "health issue"? Will he need some time to spend with his family after the season?

All of the ESPN gang thinks Bama's in either way. They usually have a pretty good national feel for things like this.

Bams's worst of 20 losses under Saban have been by 14 points. So what are the odds of Kirby being not only the first disciple to beat Saban, but also doing it by more than 14?

I'll hang up and listen.

Ohio State has scored 84 points in two appearances in the playoff.

Good times, right?

84 points in three games averages out to 28 points per game. Decent, but not good.

BAMA has scored 227 points in 7 games, averaging 32.4 points per game. They have not been shutout in a playoff game.

Great times, right?
