Meh, not really. LSU's offense was putrid and Bama's special teams were abyssmal. There was way more hype about this game than there should have been.

1983 Nebraska
2001 Miami

Those were the best 2 teams that ever stepped on a field.

This one, this one gives me good vibes. I remember being on Bourbon street, staying in that fancy arse hotel right next to the Super Dome, can't remember what it was, and this came on right before the game.

Me and 5 other friends who had no money couldn't get into the game, but we all split that hotel room and lived up the fricking life that weekend. Man, what a good time.

Also the trolling by the SEC before the game was awesome

Well, it was the first time ever that two SEC teams came into a regular season game undefeated and ranked #1 and #2. And the game produced the most NFL players ever between two teams playing a regular season game, so I think the hype was warranted.

LSU's passing game was putrid, but they ran over everyone but Bama (though they did outrush Bama in The Game of the Century). It was two of the most talented defenses ever and many consider 2011 Saban's best D ever.

1995 Nebraska was the best team I've ever seen. They obliterated an undefeated and awesome Florida team under Spurrier in the NC.

That game was as close to a Super Bowl atmosphere as college football gets.

That was a great game and deserved all of the hype. I pity those who couldn't appreciate the dominance of those defenses.

2007 LSU-Florida is still the best CFB game I've ever seen though. As Jim Ross would say, it was a real slobber knocker

This game was my first trip to Bryant-Denny and I will never forget it. Truly one of the best college football match ups of all time.

Here is Nick Saban's most famous pre game speech. It came in 2008 against who? LSU of course. Just the first 30 secondes, I don't recommend the rest of it for LSU fans, and I don't even like the music. I just loved the speech.

Alabama fans, do you remember the intro to the "Game of the Century"? The fake game of the century actually.

Well we all know OU forgot how to play defense and that game would be unsettling to watch for you.

But, I do remember they said that after the game some LSU fans that passed by or came up to them said that Alabama had some of the best fans in the country, out of all the football games they had attended, and were super complimentary and nice about the atmosphere, and the team and Saban, the town, and all that good stuff.

I was at the "pigs fly game" and I met nothing but nice Bama fans (except for one drunk).
Walking back to our car after the game we were invited to many parties and had a blast. I have never been giving so many free drinks. I got smashed.

Okla 66 tex tech 59. If you are a fan try sitting in on a game like that knowing your team cant stop the opponent. No matter how bad our offense was at least we did not have to endure a big 12 type game
