Mike Dubose won the SEC and played in the Orange Bowl. Dennis Francione won the SEC west at Alabama. Mike Shula won a Cotton Bowl at Alabama. Every Alabama coach who has coached a full season at Alabama since 1958 had at least one 10 win season. Alabama has had 4 different coaches not named Nick Saban win a national championship. Alabama has won national championships in the following decades:

Only a cocksucking misery fan would see texas somewhere it isnt.....when I said recruiting grounds I wasn't inferring only texas....they went from a national brand to a regional, if not just local scrubs.

I think Deboer is good coach and perfect for Alabama. Gumps need to be patient and let him fix culture at bama. He got them in playoffs. I know they got totally humiliated and destroyed by Indiana…but just relax and give the dude some time.

They went regional because they started losing too much. Easier to recruit nationally when you’re one of the few teams always on national TV and always winning and playing in big bowls
