That would be a solid hire. He's made Maryland better every single year he's been there.

It's being reported he is keeping pitching coach Jason Jackson on the staff as well.

Congrats but is winning the Big 10 much of an accomplishment?

Not a bad hire at all. I figured y’all would make a run at McDonnel at Louisville because he is not happy there

Better than finishing second in your division.

Maryland hadn't won a conference championship in 50 years and then they won 2 in a row the last 2 seasons.

With the returning Heisman winner at QB and 2 of the first 3 picks in the NFL Draft

Yes, the football team underperformed.

We had the players, but the mindset wasn’t there like it has been.

Time will tell, but this looks to be a pretty solid hire.

Good hire. His brother Ricky got into some legal trouble but was a flamethrower on the mound.

Is that better or worse than not winning your division with the top 2 picks in the MLB draft?

The combination of youth and quite a bit of (successful) experience is a great fit for us, I think. It's a hard job because of the neighborhood it sits in. You gotta have someone who really wants to jump into those shark infested waters and has the energy and drive to survive in there.
