Bryant beat Tennessee 10 years in a row.

True, but the streak was actually 11. But we won the 4 before that, and we won the 4 after that. So over those 19 years it wasn't so bad at 8-11. Coupla other facts. Bryant never beat General Neyland. And Fulmer won 7 years in a row. See what I mean about swapping streaks?

That is a strange cope. Couldn't Tennessee simply say that your recent successes were while Tennessee was in its worse stretch?

There was also a few coaches that left one school to go to the other, so that fueled some hatred. For example Bill Battle played at Bama then coached at UT for 10 years (6 as HC) and then he eventually became the Athletic Director at Bama.

Alabama football vs SEC W-L-T Win %
Arkansas - 25-7-0 - 78.1%
Auburn - 46-30-0 - 60.5%
Florida - 23-11-0 - 67.6%
Georgia - 33-15-1 - 68.4%
Kentucky - 28-1-1 - 95.0%
LSU - 45-24-3 - 64.6%
Ole Miss - 43-8-1 - 83.7%
Miss St. - 73-13-1 - 84.5%
USCe - 7-3-0 - 70%
UT - 51-33-7 - 59.9%
aTm - 10-2-0 - 83.3%
Vandy - 58-11-4 - 82.2%
Games played as SEC opponents.
Tennessee has the most wins, most ties and highest winning percentage against Alabama than any other SEC school (games played as conference opponents). They have also played Tennessee more than any other SEC opponent (note overall they have played each other 107 times which is one less time than Bama/Mississippi State...but a lot of those were Southern Conference games).
The game means more to Tennessee fans than it does Bama fans right now, since Bama has had so much recent success in the series. It was pretty freaking important to Bama fans when Tennessee rolled off 7 wins in a row, and 10 out of 12 between '95 and '06.

I’m only 31 and I bleed orange. I hate Alabama the most and it isn’t even close. With that being said I have the utmost respect for their program. I absolutely despise them but I do respect them and their true fans.

?!?! This coming from an Alabama fan? Saying another team has lamer NC claims than they do? OMG!
Alabama has 1 bullshite title claim. The 1941 math poll claim.
Tennesee claims 6 titles, and 4 of them are bullshite.
They claim: 1938, 1940, 1950 and 1967.
1938: #2 in the AP poll.
1940: #4 in teh AP poll.
1950: #4 in the AP poll, #3 in the coaches poll.
1967: #2 in the AP/Coaches poll(done before the bowl games). They then went on to lose their bowl game as well.
They have 2 legitimate titles. 1998 BCS, and 1951. Of course, they lost their bowl game in 1951, but that doesn't matter because bowl games were unofficial games then.
66% of the titles Tennessee claims are bullshite. 6% of Alabama's claims are bullshite.
Alabama would have about 26 national championships if they claimed titles the way Tennessee does.

No, here's the win/losses over the past 60ish years. The 4 year stretch starts in 1982, Bears last year and the 3 years of Perkins. The 10ish game stretch were the Doughnut Devil years.

I can't speak for younger fans, but I imagine they're getting the feel since we've now won 2 of 3.
Another way to look at that is you've won 2 out of 20.

I melt like Wal-Mart ice cream.
If you want an Alabama fans to lick your boots I ain't the one.
Just another season in history where Alabama has to be bad for Tennessee to win. There's a reason you fricks rush the field against a team not even in the top5.

Only a 19 game lead isn't really that bad considering that Fulmer is our second best head coach of all time, and Alabama has now had two GOAT head coaches for the entire sport
As a fanbase have to expect excellence out of your program or you'll never get it, but you also have to be realistic at times.

It seems like that game, at least for Alabama fans, has more juice
Yes, for the older fans there was a lot more venom back in the Bryant days, and there were contributing factors like Peyton leading the band, Fulmer secretly snitching to the NCAA, etc.
Going back and looking at the games now it certainly seems one-sided on paper, but it I'd argue that in 15 years you could present the Alabama/LSU series to someone who might arrive at a similar conclusion, without having lived through the past couple of decades like we have.
And I don't intend that as a slight, I simply mean that to an outsider without the context of this website or the regular back-and-forth between both fanbases here, just perusing a future record book doesn't give you an accurate picture of the insane "vibe" when Saban left LSU and came back to Alabama, for example.
Whereas the LSU stuff is still fun (at least for me), the Tennessee rivalry had developed into an intangible hatred mainly thanks to Fulmer, but the last 20 years or so has really done away with that at this point.

Honestly impressed at how quickly you guys have adjusted.
