LSU might be the best college football team ever in 2012. We're a clear #1 right now and we will be even Better in 2012.

That said, 2012 is a long way away. But on paper LSU looks loaded for a repeat.

LSU's only roadblocks next year are playing on the road against Arky and Auburn.

Just a 'tad' ambitious I think

No Claiborne, maybe no Randle, we will lose some OL. Talented, but no experienced QBs. I still think we make a run at a BCS bowl though...

Who do you see winning the SEC instead?

Large majority of those playmakers on D are only sophomores
ETA: Pretty sure we will lose 3 starters on each side of the ball, and we have plenty of experienced and talented guys waiting in the wings. SEC is fricked, we stacked

many fans are getting ahead of themselves, but if you look at some of the biggest playmakers on this team, they are young and coming back. It's quite scary to see THAT many starters that are that good coming back.

need to see what we lose to graduation/draft/injury first

and you just need a little magic sometimes. On paper florida in 09 and alabama in 10 are similar to what lsu in 12 might look like

you just don't know what you really have until you see them take the field 12-14 times

No. I looked it up. Arky has 9 seniors starting out of 22 including 2 offensive linemen and their best offensive and defensive player. I do not know too much about their backups, but it is not like they are signing top 10 classes either. I am sure they will be good, but not #2 in the West good.

It is still:

LSU
AU
Bama

The only question I have about Bama in 2012 is who is the leader on Defense. The rest falls into place, mainly because of the versatility of some and the rotational experience.

Losing Trent is the biggest loss, but Lacy/Fowler/Hart should suffice...

No doubt LSU should be really good and probably favored to win the SEC and possibly NC. I just thought it was funny that someone actually said that LSU looks great to "repeat" in 2012 when 2011 isn't close to over. There isn't even anything to repeat yet except a 9-0 start.

Yeah I agree with you. Fans will do that. Miles will focus on trying to cover the 42 point spread against western kentucky
