The ole "bama never cheated" bla bla bla.... It is true you got the bama discount, but it still came with a price.
I'll wait for you tell me why a recruit would have chosen Ole Miss over Alabama during the Saban years before NIL as well.
What was it that Ole Miss had to offer that Alabama needed to pay a recruit to give up?

I will let you continue on with your delusion. I can't fix crazy. I would hate to interfere with you beating off to your Saban poster on the wall.

I'll give you another hint. Money is not the only thing of value you have to offer people.

Is Ole Miss a wealthy school or something? How is it all the sudden they can bank players over Bama or Tenner? I thought they was poors!

Biggest 4 cheating teams paying players before NIL. Alabama, Auburn, Ohio State, Clemson. 3 of those had recent success and we all know about Cam at Auburn.

They aren't, you're just an idiot. You believe stupid trolls because it makes you feel good.
Right now they are ranked #13 in the overall recruiting rankings and that includes transfers. They are only ranked that high because they have 31 recruits, their average recruit would put them ranked around #20.

That one is easy. Playing time. Play early in the SEC. Not like you can't go the NFL at any other school but Bama. Yes bama put a lot of players in the NFL, but they also had the most 4 and 5 stars. Not like those kids weren't going to the nfl if they went to Arkansas or South Carolina.
Are you really going to sit here and really argue that Bama didn't play the game? Every Power 5 school had bag men.
OM offers a kid $100k to sign... He goes to bama for free? right... LSU offers a kid $100k and he picks bama for free? OK...

Among the best facilities in the country.
The best coaching staff college football had to offer by a large margin.
Among the best support facilities for getting a degree.
Parents knew their kids would be developed on and off the field.
Tradition that is unmatched in college football.
Almost guaranteed to win a national championship and be taught how to be a winner.
Guaranteed to be among people who want to put in the effort and be great.
A 5 star was 250% more likely to be drafted in the 1st round than ANY other school in college football and closer to 500% over the average.
That's value.
And before you open your stupid mouth, these are the goals EVERY school in college football works towards and why so many Saban assistants get hired away - including your own coach now.

I agree with you on this. Both have been doing it for years, now everybody can play. You will see a difference in bama but a huge difference in OU.

Everyone complained about how the quality of play was pretty bad overall in CFB compared to the past few years, which is pretty much a direct result of guys jumping from team to team every season looking for the next payday.
LSU fans weren't laughing when Michigan backed up the Brinks truck for their 5 star+ QB.
But if literally the same opinion is coming from someone related to the Bama program, all of a sudden it's, "lol stop whining loserz they juzt mad evrybodi cann pay players now."

I forget the numbers, but a 5 star player who went to Alabama had like a 52% chance of being drafted in the 1st round.
I think the next closes was Ohio St/Urban Meyer at the time and it was like 23%.
When it came to the average among all other schools, I think it was like 12%.
I can't remember the exact numbers, but it was an extreme difference. The volume wasn't just based on the amount of 5 stars recruited total.

I'm not talking about things that would classify as a hook up, I'm talking about pay to play.
Do I think kids get discounts and all kinds of benefits? Yes, no doubt.
Do $100+ handshakes exist? Yes no doubt.
Does a recruit magically find money, and maybe a little pussy when they come to visit? Yes, probably.
Is someones dad going to get treated a little better at their job and in the neighborhood if their kid is going to the local favorite? Yes, probably.
Do things things happen at all schools to varying degrees? Yes, probably.
Things most people would just call a hook up no doubt happen. I know some firsthand.
But talking about straight up offering kids for a pay to play scheme was likely much less common than people think. And if it did happen, it damn sure isn't to deal with a $20k car.

That's how you got your discount on players, and good on Saban for curating that reality for Bama.
Didn't stop Saban or any power school from using the same black market procurement tactics that have existed for decades to get his cheat code roster. Now all of that shite you referenced barely matters in NIL CFB Clown World ™.

College football has undoubtedly changed, and unfortunately, it feels like it's for the worse. The 'old houndstooth'—that classic, timeless Bama symbol—will never be the same. My only real issue is with the change itself.

Are you claiming no cheating went on whatsoever during the Saban years?
