Bama will have been favored in 60 consecutive games as of this Saturday, and would be favored against any team in the country on a neutral field.

quote:

The Crimson Tide have been favored in 60 consecutive games, including Saturday at Arkansas (6 p.m. ET, ESPN). It's the longest such streak in the modern era, according to ESPN college football insider Phil Steele's database, which goes back to 1976.

Alabama's run of being favored dates back to the 2009 SEC championship game against Florida, when the Crimson Tide were 5.5-point underdogs to Tim Tebow and the Gators. Alabama won 32-13, moved to the top of most power rankings, and sat there for three years before being caught by Florida State last season. Even then, there was debate over which team would have been favored if Florida State and Alabama had met in the national championship game.

During their 60-game run, the Crimson Tide have been favored by double digits 45 times. They've been favored by less than seven points only seven times.

I don't know... I'd expect to be favored over Texas A&M at home.

Wouldn't surprise me at all. It will depend on how both seasons play out.

The only reason I would still give the betting edge to Bama is because it's in Tuscaloosa, which historically hasn't meant a whole lot.

How on Earth would they be favored against Auburn on a neutral filed this week? That just doesn't seem right.

Vegas loves Bama. Everyone respects Saban, even when it doesn't make that much sense (lines, NFL draft, etc.). Don't get me wrong though, he's earned it, but that doesn't mean we should suspend reason.

Na, probably won't end until the Auburn game, that's assuming Auburn runs the table which is a big if but definitely a possibility.

This reeks of insecurity. Ya'd think that 3 titles in 4 years would put you above seeking tSECrant's approval

Yeah, you're right. Sorry.

I'll try to refrain from posting relevant articles related to my team in the future.

I'll stick to posting in more Gurley threads, or starting threads about Les Miles going to Michigan or something super exciting that everyone wants to read about like that.

Alabama is great now. It is a miracle that we have been able to win a couple of games post Sabana.

Just shows that the Bear
