Actually, yea, good point. I just think the thought of McCarron being as good as Bridgewater was too egregious of an offense for me to let go.

I think McCarron is better than Bridgewater. I know you will act like my opinion is outrageous, but its not, and you'd be hard pressed to prove as much.

ya right
McCarron blows, I'll be shocked if he is anything but a blip in the NFL

AJ in 2012:
30 TDs and 3 INTs
Set the all-time SEC TD:INT ratio

Because holy moly it is outrageous! McCarron is good and all but Bridgewater is going #1 in this draft by god and I'd almost be willing to put a ban bet on it if I wasn't so certain that I'd ultimately jynx him.

ya, that's a symptom of Bama's conservative-style of play....
If you put McCarron in a spread offense that relied upon his arm, he would sink like a stone

10-1 is the all time ratio record?

AU should be embarrassed to have a coach slobbing 'Bama like that.

Well Matt Barkley, Ryan Mallett, and Geno Smith were all projected to be top ten picks before their respective last seasons, by god!
You know who else was a overall first pick?! Jamarcus Russell! Lord have mercy!

So, the fact that in 75+ years of SEC football (a vast majority of which consisted of conservative type offenses), AJ's 30:3 ratio means nothing?
I mean no one has a better ratio in SEC history than him. Tebow was close in 2008 though with 30 TDs and 4 INTs.

You already said it, this isn't a debate I can win. I'm not an expert and the subject matter is two subjective. I figure it's smarter to agree to disagree but I'll give it a shot. After having watched both for 2 years it's clear that Bridgewater is a more gifted passer. I think athletically he has the edge as well but what completes the ensemble is his ability to put it all together and to do so intelligently. He's a smart player who's crazy accurate and throws a pretty ball. In my not so professional opinion I see McCarron as less gifted and perhaps not as accurate.
That being said, McCarron has shown that he has ice water running through his veins resulting in him being the epitome of clutch. While he has a plethora of weapons that Bridgewater doesn't, that's not his fault and he executes with them at an unparalleled proficiency. I just think you put Teddy in a program like that then he'd simply be better. I think head to head Teddy wins 8 times. This isn't to take away from AJ but instead a testament for how good TB truly is.
But that's just the annotations of a 23 year old who watches too much football without any real background. i could post stats in here but what good would that do, it's big east vs sec. Still, His near 70% completions was damn impressive and I want to say early on he was closer to 75%. And shite, even vs UF he showed an ability to adjust to the level of competition that McCarron can do so it isn't as easy as saying they're in different conferences playing on different levels.

telling the people what they want to hear down here
Awhile ago there was a host named Neal McCready who did the afternoon sports drive on WNSP. Well, apparently he rustled to many jimmies with the Bama fans... so... he gone.
Now the hosts are all polite.... makes for some boring radio.
