We got conference titles, none in the SEC, tho I thought we had one in the SEC for basketball one year? Who knows, but yeah, only SEC school without a National Championship since 1939 in the Big 3? Man I thought more schools were in that boat

Such a strange melt. A&M's 1939 Championship team was undefeated and the AP #1 Team as well as the #1 team in every credible poll. They were #1 and went to play Tulane in the Sugar Bowl (a home game for Tulane) and won. By your standard virtually every NC is disputed prior to the BCS and even some of those are disputed.

In 1939, the University of Tennessee were unbeaten and untied, and unscored upon, shutting out all of their opponents in ten games. Sounds like Tennessee should be National champs even though USC Trojans now claim a share of the 1939 title.
