Claiming divison championships as conference championships when there is a championship game is A&M at it's finest.

It's still stupid. But to be fair, even the Big XII recognized them in their "championships" tally in last year's media guide..

I've just been busy during the day recently... I always like seeing your name in a thread! I'm the victim of an incredibly overprotective brother and father, and my boyfriends ALWAYS get a hard time. I can say now that as much as I hated it when I was younger, there is no better feeling than knowing that if someone is a jerk, I had someone to beat them up if I needed to, or at least make them feel stupid. Not that I ever actually needed it.
A good dad teaches his daughter how to be treated. Even if a jerk comes along, she won't put up with it for long if she has you as a dad.
Back to the thread... All of these fights over who has what and whether or not it is legitimate make me laugh. It's not like it makes any difference. At the end of the day, the bad teams are still bad and the good teams are still good.

They were going to put divisional camps up on the wall with it, but they decided not to waste the money since the stadium is going to be remodeled/rebuilt in a year or two

So Iowa State can claim a Big 12 football title too?
Why should I be surprised coming from a conference that struggles so much with basic concepts like counting the number of teams in their conference?

More sidebar: This morning my daughter (she's 2 1/2) spied the SEC magnet on the fridge. It's the old circle logo but it has all 12 school logos on it. On her own, she called out "elephant", "alligator", "bulldog" and "tiger". Of course, "Tiger" got the loudest cheer. She wasn't quite sure what to make of the gamecock... thought it was a mouse. I've got her trained really well. She likes to chant "LSU! LSU!" and say "Geaux Tigers" whenever she sees our logo.
