What do y’all think your ceiling/floor is now?

With King I think 6-6 becomes a very real possibility. Any possibility of burning Weigman’s redshirt?

If King is starting the rest of the year a losing season is very much on the table. Has King played remotely well in any game he's played yet? He looked awful even against cupcakes like Sam Houston. It's pretty shocking how bad he's been

After App State, I said 8-4 is their ceiling

If Max is done, then everything depends on the QB.

If it's King, I think we may not win another SEC game. He has been horrendously bad, and I don't hold out much hope that's going to change.

If Weigman take over.... who knows. Kid was extremely heavily recruited by NC contending programs. I uave to assume there's a reason for that.

Haynes King is basically the future of Arch Manning - highly rated QB based almost entirely on potential/intangibles rather than on-the-field success.

Trot him out there against Bama and his confidence is gonna be wrecked.

King is already terrible so may as well let him take the Bama L and throw Weigman out there for Carolina

If Jimbo is actually feeling any real heat he has to go with the freshman.

However I don’t think the heat is real due to the buyout. Sucks for you guys but buckle up.

A&M fans are so much better when their team average

Yep. All of the above. Weigman could start later in the year.

Problem is we just have no concept for how Jimbo thinks.

Not really worried about UMass or @South Carolina. That's 5 wins.

Between @Auburn and Florida we should win at least one.

@Bama, Ole Miss, and LSU are likely losses.

6-6 with a chance at 7-5. Jimbo hasn't yet lost to LSU at home so maybe 8&4, which sadly would be considered a huge success at this point.

You could run the ball against us every play and never have to punt.

King is not very good. He is an enormous liability. He’s very careless as evidenced by his touchdown-interception ratio. He consistently throws off his back foot. His pocket presence absolutely sucks. Even his injury last year was the result of him running and not protecting himself. He has not translated into a competent CFB QB.

I think 6-6 is the ceiling with us splitting the Florida and Auburn games. It’s also a very real possibility that we lose to both.

My how the story has changed.
Less than a year ago, aggots were telling us that he was the rosetta stone for your championship run.

By all measures he should have been a solid QB. He has a great arm, and he's fast as hell. He looks great in non-game situations. But he panics and makes terrible decision after terrible decision in actual games. Dude crumbles under pressure. Some kids just can't make the jump fr HS to college ball.

Gross generalization.
Many Ags were split on who should start the season. I had my own opinion of King after his play early last season. I challenge you to find any statements from me boasting about King.

King has got some wheels. They could have him be a run first QB with a little success I think.

I didn't expect King to set the world on fire, but I did expect him to be a serviceable game manager, with enough athleticism to pull off a few nice runs a game to keep defenses honest. Basically a faster version of Kellen Mond.

But damn, even I was way off. Once a game kicks off, the kid is just an INT machine.

I’m assuming we’ll have a new nickname after this season!

Texas 8&4 seems like the golden years!
